To suppress deterioration in the quality of a recorded image resulting from the shape of a medium not being stable. There is provided a recording apparatus () including a shape adjusting section () which adjusts a shape of a medium (M) to a reference shape, a holding section () which holds a state of the medium (M) after being adjusted by the shape adjusting section (), and a recording section () which has a discharging section () which discharges a liquid to the medium (M) which is held by the holding section (). With the recording apparatus () having this configuration, it is possible to suppress deterioration in the quality of a recorded image resulting from the shape of the medium (M) not being stable.

Recording apparatus and recording method

To provide a printing apparatus where printing is possible by easily and rapidly acquiring a desired image, a multi-functional tablet device is provided with an imaging section which acquires an image, a display section which displays the image, an designating section for designating using a fingertip with regard to the displayed image, a printing section which prints an imaging image on a medium, and a control section which creates the imaging image, which is based on the image, based on designation from the designating section and which prints the created imaging image in the printing section, where the control section determines the printing range with regard to the image which is captured by the imaging section based on the designation from the designating section, creates the imaging image by editing the image in the printing range, and determines a printing position where the imaging image is printed on the medium.

A method of forming a metal pattern comprising forming a metal film having a lower layer made of a metal and an upper layer made of a metal different from the metal of the lower layer, forming a resist film having a predetermined pattern on the upper layer, and patterning the metal film by etching the metal film using the resist film as a mask. Here, patterning the metal film comprises etching the upper layer, immersing the resist film and the upper layer in a pretreatment liquid containing a nonionic surfactant after the first etching process, and etching the lower layer after the immersing process.

Metal pattern forming method

To provide a coating apparatus, which can surely prevent a coating solution from spreading, to simplify a manufacturing process and reduce the manufacturing cost and provide a coating method using the same. The coating apparatus includes a holding table holding a plate having a through hole penetrating in a thickness direction; and a coating head including a slit-shaped nozzle orifice which discharges a coating solution, the nozzle orifice being opposed to a coating surface opposite to a holding surface held on the holding table. The coating apparatus applies the coating solution to the coating surface of the plate by moving the plate and the coating head relative to each other in an in-plane direction of the coating surface. In addition, the coating apparatus includes coating preventing means, which prevents the coating solution from entering the through hole of the plate.
