A fan includes sloping surfaces arranged at an inner peripheral surface of an air channel portion that are shaped such that an air passage is enlarged in a cross sectional area in a direction normal or substantially normal to a central axis. The inner peripheral surface of the air channel portion also includes a straight surface at which area the distance between the central axis and the inner peripheral surface of the air channel portion is substantially constant. Also, the straight surface of the air channel portion includes a plurality of slits each penetrating the air channel portion.

Axial fan and method of manufacturing the same

A fan frame includes a first housing having a first end portion in which a first protrusion is arranged, a second housing having a second end portion in which a second protrusion opposing the first protrusion along a specified axis is arranged, the second end portion being in an axially opposing relationship with the first end portion, and a fixing member attached to the first protrusion and the second protrusion to fix the first housing and the second housing together. Further, a first locking portion is arranged in the first end portion and a second locking portion engaging with the first locking portion is arranged in the second end portion.

Axial flow fan unit

An axial flow fan unit includes a first and a second axial flow fan. The first axial flow fan includes a first motor, a plurality of first lead lines connected to the first motor, a first impeller rotatable about a center axis by the first motor, and a first housing arranged to enclose the first motor and the first impeller, wherein the first housing has a first recess portion extending from an inside to an outside of the first housing. Likewise, the second axial flow fan includes a second motor, a plurality of second lead lines, a second impeller, and the second housing, wherein the second housing has a second recess portion extending from an inside to an outside of the second housing. The first and the second lead lines are led out from the first and the second housings through the first and the second recesses, respectively. Further, the first recess portion is deviated relative to or partially overlapped with the second recess portion along a circumferential direction.
