A control apparatus of a vehicle obtains information indicating a relationship between an instruction value to be provided to an actuator in accordance with a driving condition of a vehicle and a torque capacity of a clutch. The control apparatus includes a table holding unit that stores a correction table to be applied under a condition when an output torque from the engine is increasing and a correction table to be applied under a condition when an output torque from the engine is decreasing, a gear change condition determining unit that determines under which condition a gear change is executed, and a correction table update unit that updates the correction table to be applied under the determined condition based on the information indicating a relationship between a target value and an actual value of the torque capacity generated at the inertia phase.

A gearbox of a twin clutch includes dog portions of a movable gear and a fixed gear which may be disengaged and re-engaged with each other. A control device for a vehicle including the twin clutch includes a shift actuator control unit that, when shifting a gear to another speed, outputs a target position signal so as to shift a rotation position of a shift actuator to a gear shift position at which a gear shift operation is performed by a transmission, and a clutch control unit that outputs torque signals so as to connect a clutch that transmits power to, among movable gears and fixed gears, a movable gear or a fixed gear including a dog portion to be disengaged. The shift actuator control unit outputs the target position signal so as to return the rotation position of the shift actuator to a neutral position.

A vehicle of a dual clutch type includes a transmission mechanism including a plurality of gears including dog clutches and two clutches, wherein engagement of the gears by the dog clutches is smoothened to prevent shift shock. When receiving a shifting command, a control device sets an engine rotation speed corresponding to a reduction ratio of a next gear level, and a vehicle velocity as a target rotation speed, and controls the engine rotation speed toward a target rotation speed. Also, the control device prevents the engine rotation speed from arriving at the target rotation speed until two gears corresponding to the next gear level are engaged with each other by the dog clutch. The control device brings one clutch close to an engaged state, and the other clutch close to a disengaged state after the engine rotation speed arrives at the target rotation speed.

A vehicle control apparatus includes an opening degree determination unit that determines the opening degree of a throttle valve based on an accelerator operation amount, and a change suppression unit that reduces a time rate of changing of the opening degree of the throttle valve in a gear change period with a decrease of the rotation speed of the engine, when the opening degree of the throttle valve is changed from a value at which an output torque is greater than a load torque input from a transmission path to an engine toward a boundary value where the output torque is equal to the load torque.

In a vehicle including two paths as torque transmission paths from an engine to an output shaft of a transmission, each of the paths provided with a clutch and a transmission mechanism, a gear shift shock due to a torque generated at the moment when the paired gears of the next gear level are engaged is significantly reduced. In normal travel control, a control device sets a transmitted torque capacity of each of the clutches in the two paths at maximum. Also, in the normal travel control, the control device sets the paired gears of the transmission mechanism in a previous path that is one of the paths, in an engaged state, and sets the transmission mechanism in a next path that is the other path, in a neutral state. When a gear shift command is generated, the control device lowers the transmitted torque capacity of the clutch in the next path. After that, the control device engages the paired gears of the transmission mechanism in the next path with each other, before the transmitted torque capacity of the clutch in the next path reaches a minimum value.
