The purpose of the present invention is to provide a flow sensor that makes it possible to detect temperature abnormalities that the flow sensor has been exposed to and the time history of the flow sensor in a high-temperature environment from an externally visible cover material and that uses a cover material for which the laser welding quality can be guaranteed through visual inspection when the sensor is delivered as a product and even if the sensor is used in an abnormal state. A second bypass passage bypassing a bypass passage is formed and a humidity sensing device is mounted in the second bypass passage. A second bypass passage inlet and a second bypass passage outlet formed in a wall surface of the bypass passage are opened parallel to the direction of flow of air flowing in the bypass passage.

Intake air mass flow measurement device

In a flow sensor, detecting elements are provided at a sub-passage. A sub-passage wall contains a hole to drain accumulated liquid. A protrusion arranged close to the hole on an external surface generates dynamic pressure on the opening in response to external flow. Alternatively, a protrusion upstream from the hole on the inner wall surface produces a separation flow area for separating the flow from the internal surface near the hole, whereby pressure in the separation area is reduced and almost the same pressure differences on the internal and external surfaces openings result. This reduces leakage from the hole and changes in the distribution flow in the sub-passage between cases where the hole is blocked and not blocked, thus minimizing flow measurement errors. Structure may be provided close to the external surface hole opening to prevent a liquid film or drop from being formed on the opening by surface tension.

The present invention improves reliability of an in-vehicle electronic device against corrosive gases. A trapping agent that has trap performances (adsorptive performance, suction performance, absorption performance, chemical reactivity, etc.) that are higher than that of water vapor with respect to corrosive gases other than water vapor is held within a connector having a terminal that is insert-molded in a case housing an electronic circuit. Here, the trapping agent may be held in a counterpart connector of the connector integrally formed in the case.

Equipment for measuring gas flow rate

In a thermal-type airflow meter that measures an intake airflow rate in an internal combustion engine of an automobile or the like, there has been a problem that pulsation errors caused by external fluctuations under the environment including a large pulsation and reverse flow in the intake valve are difficult to be reduced. In order to solve this problem, the invention provides a flowmeter comprising a detection element that outputs a non-linear signal corresponding to a flow rate, and a regulation means that regulates an output signal of the detection element for controlling. With this construction, the regulation means executes output regulation processing that regulates irregularities of the detection element in the output signal, and inequality linearization processing that regulates an average value of the output signal after the output regulation processing by means of regulating parameters.

Flowmeter and flowmeter system

An air flow sensor for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. An air flow rate measurement meter, a pressure gauge, electronically controlled throttle body, and the microcomputer, etc. are integrated as one body, and the correction of the air flow rate, the control, and the fault diagnosis, etc. are done in the integrated microcomputer. The air flow sensor outputs an air flow rate signal in which the error is deleted to suppress the discharge of the harmful exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine, carries out the self-diagnosis of the breakdown of the air flow sensor or the electronically controlled throttle body to prevent the accident beforehand, and controls to obtain the best intake air amount.

A thermal type air flow measuring instrument has a molded part formed by integral molding with a metal plate. A slot or opening allowing only a resin to pass through the same is formed in the metal plate in an area subjected to higher stresses. A part of the connector terminals are disposed in the vicinity of an area where the resin has a larger thickness and the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the resin is locally increased. The injecting direction is set to prevent a weld line and a void from being generated. For the molded part with the metal plate inserted therein, the occurrence of cracks is minimized. Further, an increase of the fatigue crack growth rate is decreased.
