An information processing device, includes: a gesture detection unit that recognizes gestures by a user; an output information control unit that controls output information to a display unit; and a device control unit, wherein: if the gesture detection unit has detected that the user has raised a hand for a certain time period, then the output information control unit displays upon the display unit a plurality of candidates for selection in association with gestures for operation; and if the gesture detection unit has detected a predetermined gesture by the user, the device control unit considers that, among the candidates for selection displayed upon the display unit, a candidate corresponding to the gesture that has been detected has been selected.

Information processing device

An in-vehicle device comprises a gesture defection unit, which recognizes a user's hand position located within a predetermined range, a driving state recognition unit which detects a driving state of a vehicle, and a gesture control unit which controls a state of a gesture operation based on a recognition result of the hand position by the gesture detection unit, wherein the gesture control unit disables the gesture operation when the driving state of the vehicle detected by the driving state recognition unit is in a predetermined disabling state.

In-vehicle device

An in-vehicle device includes a gesture detection unit for recognizing a user's hand at a predetermined range; an information control unit controlling information output to a display; and an in-vehicle device control unit receiving input from a control unit equipped in a vehicle to control the in-vehicle device. When the gesture detection unit detects a user's hand at a predetermined position, the output information control unit triggers the display to display candidates of an operation executed by the in-vehicle device control unit by associating the candidates with the user's hand motions. When the gesture detection unit detects the user's hand, and the user's hand has thereafter moved from the position, the information control unit changes a selection method or a control guide of the operation to be executed by the in-vehicle device control unit, which is displayed on the display, to subject matter which matches the control unit.

An information processing device that detects a motion of a user includes a detecting unit that detects the motion of the user and a face direction of the user from an image photographed by an imaging unit, a detected motion determining unit that determines whether or not the motion detected by the detecting unit is an operation on the information processing device based on the face direction of the user and position information of the information processing device stored in a storage unit, and a display content control unit that causes a display unit to reflect the motion when the detected motion determining unit determines that the motion detected by the detecting unit is the operation on the information processing device.
