When a slewing motor is at a stop, a first slewing control unit of a controller that controls an operation of the slewing motor sets a first monitoring area that is set with respect to a slewing body as a designated area, and then controls, depending on whether an obstacle is detected in the first monitoring area, whether to prohibit or allow start of the slewing motor in response to a drive manipulation. Furthermore, a second slewing control unit of the controller sets one or more second monitoring areas that are set at places remoter from the slewing body than the first monitoring area as the designated area, and then controls, depending on whether the obstacle is detected in the second monitoring area(s), whether to limit the operation of the slewing motor in response to the drive manipulation after the start of the slewing motor is allowed.

The crane includes an allowable deceleration rate derivation unit and a winch control unit. The allowable deceleration rate derivation unit derives an allowable deceleration rate representing an allowable value of the deceleration rate of the winding of a suspension rope, from a measured load that is a suspension load measured by a load measurement device. The allowable deceleration rate derivation unit derives the allowable deceleration rate that is decreased with a decrease in the measured load. The winch control unit makes the winding of the suspension rope by a winch device decelerated at a deceleration rate limited within a range equal to or less than the allowable deceleration rate.

An electric winch device includes a required braking force estimation section which estimates a required braking force required to stop a free-falling object at a position at an allowable stopping height; a braking force determination section which determines, out of an operational braking force, each of a first braking force to be borne by a braking device and a second braking force to be borne by a braking force which is generated in an electric motor due to consumption of regenerative power; and a control section which causes the braking device to apply the first braking force to a winch drum. Provided is an electric winch device including: an electric motor; a winch drum; a brake; an operation lever; and a controller. The controller includes: a first torque derivation unit which derives a value of a first torque applied to the winch drum due to a load of an object; a second torque derivation unit which derives a value of a second torque generated in the winch drum by a drive torque of the electric motor; and a brake control unit which determines a timing for releasing a braking action on the winch drum after the operation lever has been operated, on the basis of a differential between the second torque value and the first torque value, and which causes the brake to release the braking action on the winch drum by transmitting, to the brake, a control signal instructing release of the braking action on the winch drum at the determined timing.

An electric winch device causes an operative part to perform an operation for hoisting work by winding up or letting out a rope connected to the operative part, the electric winch device including: a winch drum having an axis, provided on the mobile crane to be rotatable about the axis and wound with the rope therearound; a plurality of motors located on one side of the winch drum in an axial direction in which the axis of the winch drum extends, and arranged side by side in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction; a gear mechanism which combines torques output from the plurality of motors; and a transmitting part which transmits a resultant of torques combined by the gear mechanism to the winch drum to rotate the winch drum to thereby cause the winch drum to wind up or let out the rope.

An electric winch device including an electric motor that rotates a winch drum in a hoisting direction, and generates regenerative electric power when a rotation of the winch drum in a lowering direction is transmitted to the electric motor, a transmission device that transmits the rotation between the electric motor and the winch drum, a power calculating section that calculates power of the target object by freefall, and a control section that controls an operation of the transmission device. When the power calculated by the power calculating section exceeds reference electric power, the control section causes the transmission device to change the transmission rate of the rotation to a transmission rate at which the regenerative electric power generated by the electric motor is equal to or smaller than the reference electric power.

Provided is a braking apparatus for braking of an electric winch of a construction machine, ensuring safe braking with much regeneration. The apparatus includes a regenerative-power generation unit, a regenerative-power receiving unit, a braking device for mechanical braking separately from the regenerative-power generation unit, and a braking control unit including a necessary-braking-capacity calculation section, a regeneration-capacity calculation section calculating a regeneration capacity, and a command section. The command section, when the regeneration capacity is not less than a necessary braking capacity, performs braking with only a regenerative action while not operating the braking device and, when the regeneration capacity is less than the necessary braking capacity, calculates an auxiliary braking force equivalent to a difference between the necessary braking capacity and the regeneration capacity and brings the braking device into braking action with the auxiliary braking force.

The overload safety device includes a maximum-load calculating unit configured to calculate a maximum load that a winch drum is capable of winding up with driving torques output from the remaining electric motors other than a failed electric motor identified by the identifying unit, an updating unit configured to update a set hoisting ability value stored in a storing unit to a value equal to the maximum load, and a control unit configured to cause the remaining electric motors to operate when a value of a load derived by a load deriving unit is equal to or smaller than a latest set hoisting ability value stored in the storing unit and stop the operation of the plurality of electric motors when the value of the load derived by the load deriving unit exceeds the latest set hoisting ability value.

An exhaust gas purification control device includes an engine, an actuator using the engine as a driving source, an operation unit used by an operator to operate the actuator or the engine, an operation detector detecting whether or not the operation unit is being operated, a purification device for capturing soot in exhaust gas of the engine, an accumulation amount detector detecting an accumulation amount of the soot captured by the purification device, a regeneration unit for performing an regenerating operation of regenerating the purification device by burning the soot captured by the purification device, and a controller controlling the regenerating operation. The controller switches a control from a control of prioritizing an operation by the operation unit to a control of prioritizing the regenerating operation in a stepwise manner as the accumulation amount of the soot detected by the accumulation amount detector increases.

A crane includes a limiting device to limit a raising/lowering angle of the mast during suspending work to be equal to or less than an upper limit angle which is less than a value of the raising/lowering angle when the mast extends vertically; a release device into which a release instruction for causing the limiting device to release the limitation on the raising/lowering angle of the mast is input; and a first detection section adapted to detect that the mast support device is at an overhanging position where the mast support device pushes up and sets the mast in the work posture. The limiting device is operable whenever the first detection section does not detect that the mast support device is at the overhanging position, even if the release instruction is input into the release device, to prohibit the mast from being tilted rearward beyond the upper limit angle.

Disclosed is a construction machine which comprises: a command changing regulation section; a loading device for imposing, on an engine, a load for raising an exhaust temperature of the engine up to a value at which particulate matter accumulated in a filter is burnt; and an instruction section for instructing the loading device to perform an operation for loading the engine. The instruction section prohibits the loading device from changing a loading level on the engine, during a period where a manipulation-state detection section detects a presence of a manipulation of a manipulation section. The command changing regulation section is set to a changing permission mode for permitting a value of a command which is to be assigned to an actuator control valve, to be changed according to changing a value of a command to be output from a manipulation device, during a period where the loading level is constant.
