A light source includes a plurality of light-transmissive members and a plurality of light emitting elements. Upper surfaces of the light-transmissive members are flush with each other. The light-transmissive members include a plurality of first light-transmissive members arranged to form a rectangular shape as a whole in a plan view, and a plurality of second light-transmissive members arranged in a rectangular frame shape as a whole surrounding the first light-transmissive members in the plan view. Each of the second light-transmissive members is smaller than each of the first light-transmissive members in the plan view. The light emitting elements are arranged under the first light-transmissive members with none of the light emitting elements being arranged under the second light-transmissive members.

A light source device includes a substrate and a light source. The light source includes a first light emission unit, a plurality of second light emission units, and a plurality of third light emission units arranged two-dimensionally on the substrate. The first light emission unit is arranged at a center among the light emission units, and includes a first light emission element having a first light emission face. The second light emission units surround the first light emission unit, and include a plurality of second light emission elements, respectively, each having a second light emission face. The third light emission units surround the second light emission units, and include a plurality of third light emission elements, respectively, each having a third light emission faces. The first light emission face and the second light emission faces all have the same areas. The third light emission faces have different areas.

A light source device includes a substrate, a light source, a liquid crystal shutter, and a lens. The light source is supported by the substrate. The light source includes a plurality of light emission units two-dimensionally arranged. The liquid crystal shutter is disposed on the light source. The lens is disposed on the liquid crystal shutter. The liquid crystal shutter is configured to perform independent ON/OFF control in two or more regions corresponding to at least one of the light emission units.

The light-transmissive members include a plurality of first light-transmissive members respectively disposed on the light emitting elements, and a plurality of second light-transmissive members disposed on the light blocking member in an outer periphery region located outwardly of the light emitting elements in the plan view.

Each of the first light diffusing members is disposed on a respective one of the wavelength conversion members. The light transmitting member continuously covers the first light diffusing members. The second light diffusing member is disposed on the light transmitting member. The light shielding member covers lateral surfaces of the light emitting elements, lateral surfaces of the wavelength conversion members, and lateral surfaces of the first light diffusing members.

A light source includes first and second light emission units and a light shielding member. The light emission units each includes a light emitting element having a light emission face, a wavelength conversion member disposed on the light emission face, and a light transmissive member disposed on the wavelength conversion member. The light shielding member covers a lateral face of the light emitting element and a lateral face of the wavelength conversion member. The lateral face of the light transmissive member is at least partially exposed from the light shielding member. The second light emission unit is more distant from a center of a predetermined region than the first light emission unit. The light emission face of the light emitting element in the second light emission unit is larger than the light emission face of the light emitting element in the first light emission unit.

A light source includes light emission units and a light shielding member. At least one of the light emission units includes a light emitting element, a wavelength conversion member, and a light transmissive member. The light transmissive member includes a first region positioned above the light emitting element and a second region positioned outward from the first region. The second region has a thickness smaller than a thickness of the first region. The wavelength conversion member is larger than the light emission face of the light emitting element in a top view. The light shielding member is continuously disposed between adjacent ones of the light emission units and covers a lateral face of the light emitting element and a lateral face of the wavelength conversion member. A lateral face of the light transmissive member in the light emission unit is at least partially exposed from the light shielding member.
