A control device for a vehicle includes an opening degree sensor to detect an opening degree of a wastegate valve disposed in a bypass passage bypassing a turbine. Circuitry is configured to stop an internal combustion engine while the vehicle is driven by a motor in a motor drive mode. The circuitry is configured to calculate a target opening degree of the wastegate valve to be larger than a maximum error between the opening degree detected by the opening degree sensor and an actual opening degree of the wastegate valve. The circuitry is configured to control the wastegate valve such that the opening degree detected by the opening degree sensor is equal to the target opening degree while the vehicle is driven in the motor drive mode.

A control system for a vehicle includes an acceleration operation sensor to detect an amount of an acceleration operation. Circuitry is configured to calculate a first acceleration control amount as an acceleration control amount based on the amount of the acceleration operation according to a relationship between the amount of the acceleration operation and the first acceleration control amount when it is determined that the vehicle is not in a delivery state. The circuitry is configured to calculate a second acceleration control amount as the acceleration control amount based on the amount of the acceleration operation according to a second relationship between the amount of the acceleration operation and the second acceleration control amount when it is determined that the vehicle is in the delivery state. The second acceleration control amount is smaller than the first acceleration control amount with respect to the amount of the acceleration operation.

A vehicle control system includes electronic controllers and first and second communications networks. The electronic controllers control a vehicle including an internal combustion engine and a drive motor. The electronic controllers include a management controller to manage travel control of the vehicle and a motor drive controller to control the drive motor. The first and second communications networks connect the electronic controllers together. The electronic controllers communicate via the first and second communications networks. The motor drive controller is configured to stop the drive motor when it is determined that a fault has occurred in the first communications network and configured to transmit information indicating that the fault has occurred in the first communications network to the management controller via the second communications network. The management controller is configured to control the electronic controllers not to communicate via the first communications network in response to the information.

A vehicle control system includes: multiple control units which controls operation of a vehicle including an internal combustion engine, a first electric motor connected to the internal combustion engine, and a second electric motor; and a network connected to the control units such that the control units perform communication with each other. The control units include a first control unit which controls the internal combustion engine, a second control unit which controls the first motor, and a third control unit which controls the second motor, and each detect abnormality in communication via the network among the control units. Upon detection of abnormality in communication between the second control unit and the other control units via the network, the first control unit stops operation of the internal combustion engine, and the third control unit performs control such that the second motor outputs power for the vehicle to travel.
