A tire has, on a tread surface of the tire, five land portions, an installation direction of the tire to a vehicle is designated, intermediate land portions respectively have a communicating sipe, the communicating sipe is constituted by a first sipeat a vehicle-installed outside and a second sipeat a vehicle-installed inside, the first sipe and the second sipe have an intersection point P on the vehicle-installed outside of a center line in a tire width direction of the corresponding intermediate land portion, the distance between the intersection point and a land portion edge at the vehicle-installed inside is the largest in an innermost intermediate land portion of the intermediate land portions, and an angle &#x3b8;of the first sipe to a tire circumferential direction is larger than an angle &#x3b8;of the second sipe to the tire circumferential direction.

A tire has three or more circumferential direction main grooves, a first land portion and a second land portion that are partitioned by the circumferential direction main grooves, first sipes that are provided in the first land portion, and that have a bend portion protruding in the tire circumferential direction, and whose two ends communicate respectively with the circumferential direction main grooves, second sipes that are provided in the second land portion on a virtual extension of the first sipes, and whose two ends communicate respectively with the circumferential direction main grooves, and first terminal grooves that are provided in the first land portion between first sipes, that are positioned on an outer side in a tire width direction of the first land portion and communicate with the circumferential direction main grooves, and that terminate at a position further to the outer side in the tire width direction than a position in the tire width direction of a distal end of the bend portion, wherein angle portions on an acute angle side relative to the tire circumferential direction of the first land portion facing the first sipes are chamfered.

A pneumatic tire comprises: a first blocklocated on a tire equatorial plane and having a recessthat inclines with respect to a tire width direction; and a second blocklocated to face the recess of the first block.

Pneumatic tire

A tire used for the motorcycle tire and tire set includes: a crossing groove and a non-crossing groove. A groove group of the crossing groove and the non-crossing groove is repeatedly provided in tire circumferential direction so that adjacent groove groups are symmetric with respect to a tire equatorial plane. First, second, and fifth groove portions extend toward one side in tire circumferential direction and third and fourth groove portions extend toward the other side in tire circumferential direction. A first bend portion is located in a shoulder region nearer the one tread edge, a second bend portion is located in a middle region nearer the one tread edge, and a third bend portion is located in a middle region nearer the other tread edge. Inclination angles of the second, fourth and fifth groove portions are each larger than an inclination angle of the first groove portion.

This pneumatic tire includes, on the tread surface, land portions defined by circumferential main grooves extending continuously in the tread circumferential direction and by tread edges. An intermediate land portion on one side in the tread width direction, adjacent to the tire equatorial plane side of the outermost circumferential main groove on the one side, is formed into blocks only by sipes extending in the tread width direction, an intermediate land portion on the other side in the tread width direction, adjacent to a tire equatorial plane side of an outermost circumferential main groove on the other side, is formed in a ribbed shape, and intermediate land portion lug grooves are formed in the intermediate land portion on the other side, with one end opening into the outermost circumferential main groove on the other side, and the other end terminating within the intermediate land portion on the other side.

This pneumatic tire has a tread part partitioned by four main grooves into a center land part, an outer intermediate land part, an inner intermediate land part, an outer shoulder land part, and an inner shoulder land part. The center land part is formed with center lug grooves in which the installation outer side is narrower than the installation inner side. The outer intermediate land part is wider than the inner intermediate land part, and the outer shoulder land part is wider than the inner shoulder land part. In the outer (inner) intermediate land part, outer (inner) intermediate first lug grooves which communicate with the main grooves on both sides, and outer (inner) intermediate second lug grooves which communicate only with the main groove on the outside (inside) in the tire width direction are alternatingly arranged in the tire circumferential direction.
