A phase shifter includes a signal conductor constituting a transmission line for a signal transmitted through an antenna element, a dielectric plate including a dielectric material disposed to face to the signal conductor, and a mobile mechanism for moving the dielectric plate. A facing area between the signal conductor and the dielectric plate is changed by a movement of the dielectric plate, to change a phase of the signal transmitted through the signal conductor. The dielectric plate includes a transformer unit for impedance matching between an overlapped portion in which the signal conductor faces to the dielectric plate and a non-overlapped portion in which the signal conductor does not face to the dielectric plate. The signal conductor includes an input-side signal conductor which extends from the non-overlapped portion to the overlapped portion via the transformer unit, and an output-side signal conductor which is electrically connected to an end of the input-side signal conductor on a side of the overlapped portion and extends from the overlapped portion to the non-overlapped portion without any intervention of the transformer unit.

Provided is an antenna device including a substrate, a metal chassis disposed adjacent a rear surface of the substrate, multiple patch antenna elements formed in an array on a front surface of the substrate, feeding lines formed on the front surface of the substrate and through which electricity is fed to the multiple patch antenna elements, and a ground conductor formed on the rear surface of the substrate in a portion opposite the feeding lines.

A mobile communication base station antenna has a plurality of polarization diversity antenna blocks, each of the polarization diversity antenna blocks including a plurality of polarization diversity antenna elements, each of the polarization diversity antenna elements including antenna elements that are disposed to be orthogonal to each other. The polarization diversity antenna elements of one of the polarization diversity antenna blocks are interposed between the polarization diversity antenna elements of another one of the polarization diversity antenna blocks, and tilt angles in the vertical plane of the respective polarization diversity antenna blocks are different from each other.

Mobile communication base station antenna

A mobile communication base station antenna has a plurality of array antenna blocks. Each of the array antenna blocks has a plurality of antenna element pairs. Each of the antenna element pairs has a plurality of antenna elements that are disposed to be orthogonal to each other. Tilt angles in the vertical plane of the respective array antenna blocks are different from each other.

A mobile communication base station antenna has a first array antenna and a second array antenna. Antenna elements of the first and second array antennas are classified into the first, second and third groups G, Gand G. A first feeding port is connected to the antenna elements in the odd number groups (the first group Gand the third group G) of the first array antenna and the antenna elements in the even number group of the second array antenna. An antenna having an antenna element bent in a predetermined shape. The antenna element has a plurality of line conductors that are arranged in parallel and are sandwiched by two insulation films. A method of making an antenna has the steps of: arranging in parallel a plurality of line conductors, each of which having a width of 0.04 mm or less, at intervals of 10 times or more the width of each of the line conductors; discharging continuously the plurality of line conductors such that visibility of the line conductors is reduced; and sandwiching continuously the discharged line conductors by planar transparent insulation films with a sticking or adhesion layer to have an antenna element.

Antenna and method of making the same

An antenna according to the present invention comprises: a plurality of parallel disposed linear conductors; two insulating films between which the plurality of linear conductors are sandwiched; at least one cut portion formed in at least one of the plurality of linear conductors; and a feed point connected to at least one of the plurality of linear conductors. With this configuration, the segment of the linear conductor connected to the feed point provides a driven element, while the other end of the linear conductor opposite to the feed point connected end is electrically open so that the segment of the linear conductor extending beyond the cut portion provides a parasitic element.
