Provided is an electric motor including a permanent magnet rotor and two sets of multi-phase windings serving as coil windings of a stator. The coil windings are wound around teeth by concentrated winding. The multi-phase windings of one of the two sets are wound around every other tooth by skipping one tooth in between. The multi-phase windings of another of the two sets are wound around the teeth skipped by the multi-phase windings of the one set. Adjacent coil windings of the two sets are wound in the same direction. A control unit configured to supply power to the coil windings includes control circuits independent of each other to provide one control circuit for each of the two sets of coil windings, and the control unit controls the control circuits with two sets of control signals having a phase difference of 150 degrees.

Electric motor

An electric drive unit () of the invention includes the electric motor () and the control apparatus () that is disposed on an axis line of a rotation shaft () of the electric motor () and controls the driving of the electric motor (). The electric motor () has a motor terminal () extending parallel to an axial direction of the rotation shaft () toward the control apparatus () and a slit () is provided to the motor terminal () at an end on a side of the control apparatus (). The control apparatus () has a motor connection terminal () provided on a line extended from the motor terminal () and connected to the motor terminal (). The slit () in the motor terminal () is press-fit and fixed to the motor connection terminal ().

Electric drive unit

A rotating electric machine which includes: a stator having a stator core fixed inside a bottomed frame and a stator winding wound around the stator core; a bracket fixed to an opening side of the frame; a rotor having a shaft penetrating the bracket and rotatably supported by a bracket side bearing and by a frame side bearing, the rotor being arranged inside the stator core interposing a gap therebetween; a respective phase lead wire electrically connected to the stator winding and led out from the bracket; a rotation sensor that detects a rotational position of the rotor; and a sensor signal wire connected to the rotation sensor and led out from the bracket. A front end portion of the respective phase lead wire is introduced to inside the bracket from outside an opening portion provided at the bracket, thereby electrically connecting to the stator winding.

Rotating electric machine and manufacturing method thereof

A resolver reference position adjustment method is capable of minimizing a detection error in the rotation angle of a rotor of a motor. In the resolver reference position adjustment method in which a reference position of a resolver of an axial double angle n mounted on an end of a shaft, to which the rotor of the motor is fixedly attached, for detecting rotation angles of the rotor is adjusted with respect to the rotor, the reference position of the resolver is adjusted by using the rotation angles of the rotor at a first point and at a second point, respectively, which are positions of the rotor apart an angle of (mechanical angle 180/axial double angle n) degrees from each other.

Resolver reference position adjustment method

A resolver can make accurate angle detection in an entire detection range. The resolver includes a resolver stator having an excitation winding of one phase adapted to be excited by a power supply and a first and a second output winding of two phases for outputting a change in the density of magnetic flux as a voltage, a resolver rotor arranged at a central portion of the resolver stator so as to cooperate with the resolver stator for changing a gap permeance between the resolver rotor and the resolver stator in accordance with the rotation of the resolver rotor, and a detection error correction part that corrects an angle detection error of the resolver by using the value of a Lissajous radius of a circular Lissajous waveform obtained from the amplitudes of an output signal Scos from the first output winding and an output signal Ssin from the second output winding.

Resolver

A motor for an electric power steering apparatus can improve working efficiency, and can be reassembled without requiring any new or additional members. A bracket is disposed at an opening of a cylindrical bottomed frame. A stator with a stator winding is fixed to the frame around a rotor. Stator-side terminals each having a connection portion extending toward the bracket are disposed between the stator and the bracket, and are connected with the stator winding. A connector base includes connection terminals connected with tip ends of the connection portions, a base portion with the connection terminals disposed on a surface thereof, and nuts mounted on the base portion. Leads have, at their one end, lead-side terminals in contact with the connection terminals. Screws are threaded on the nuts, respectively, for coupling the connection terminals and the lead-side terminals.

Motor for electric power steering apparatus
