A display device includes a display panel, a frame disposed on a back surface of the display panel, slidable plate disposed to overlap, at least in part, the frame, a slidable structure includes a plurality of roll belts, and a support guide disposed between the frame and the slidable plate. Each of the plurality of roll belts includes a bar extending in a straight line and a ring extending from one surface of the bar and providing an accommodation hole to which the support guide is coupled.

An example of a foldable display device includes a display panel having a first area, a second area, and a foldable area therebetween; a first support plate supporting the first area of the display panel; a second support plate supporting the second area of the display panel; a central support disposed under the foldable area of the display panel and configured to move vertically; a first peripheral support slidable while supporting the first support plate; a second peripheral support slidable while supporting the second support plate; and a hinge body disposed under the central support. The central support ascends toward the display panel during an unfolding operation and descends toward the hinge body during an in-folding operation. The first peripheral support and the second peripheral support move toward the central support during the unfolding operation, and move away from the central support during the in-folding operation.

Foldable display device

A foldable display device can include a first support plate and a second support plate, a display panel disposed on the first support plate and the second support plate, and a hinge assembly disposed between the first support plate and the second support plate. The hinge assembly can include a first hinge arm and a second hinge arm rotatably connected to each other, a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear respectively coupled to the first hinge arm and the second hinge arm, and a first gear arm and a second gear arm fastened to interlock with the first hinge arm and the second hinge arm. The display panel can be folded or unfolded about a rotation axis different from central axes of the first bevel gear and the second bevel gear.

A roll-slide display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first frame, a second frame, and a third frame constituting an exterior and a flexible display unit including a first area that is coupled to the first frame, a second area that is coupled to the third frame, and a third area that is positioned between the first area and the second area, wherein the flexible display unit includes a display panel and a support frame disposed on a rear surface of the display panel and including a plurality of ribs that are elongated in one direction and a plurality of bridges that connect the plurality of ribs, wherein the roll-slide display device may implement and original state and an extended state by slidably moving the first frame leftward and rightward with respect to the second frame.

A foldable display device includes a first casing and a second casing supporting a first area and a second area of a display panel, respectively, a support disposed between the first casing and the second casing, supporting the display panel based on the folding direction of the foldable display device, and including a support body which ascends toward the display panel during the out-folding operation, and descends toward a bottom face of the hinge cover during the in-folding operation.

A foldable display device can include first and second casings for respectively supporting a first area and a second area of a display panel. The first and second casings are coupled to a hinge. The foldable display device can further include a slidable support which has a first end movably connected to the first casing, and a second end fixed to the second casing, and a slidable plate attached to the display panel and movably connected to the second casing. The slidable support supports a foldable area of the display panel between the first area and the second area of the display panel during an unfolding operation and an out-folding operation. Thus, the foldable display device performs both the in-folding operation and the out-folding operation.

A foldable display device is discussed, which is to be switched between a folded state and an unfolded state, the foldable display device including adjustable support units to support a display panel of the foldable display device together with an inner surface of set frames in the unfolded state, the adjustable support units being connected to a hinge unit to enable the adjustable support units to retreat to the inner surface of the set frames in the folded state. In the unfolded state, the adjustable support units and the set frames support the entire area of the display panel to be flat to reduce damage of the display panel.

A foldable display apparatus includes a mid-layer having a hinge region; a panel on the mid-layer; a pair of set frames under the mid-layer; and a hinge portion connected to the pair of set frames, and moving as the panel is folded or unfolded. The hinge module includes a hinge folding path disposed between a front surface and a rear surface of the flexible display panel.
