A lever-type connector has a male housing () including a bottom wall () formed with through hole () and a receptacle () extending forward from an outer periphery of the bottom wall (). A female housing () is capable of fitting into the receptacle (). A lever () is mounted on the female housing () and connects the male and female housings () by being rotated from an initial position to a connection position. An arm () of the lever () is between an outer surface of the female housing () and an inner surface of the receptacle (). First and second closing portions () are on the arm () and are configured to close a clearance between an upper opening () of the receptacle () and the lever () by being above the through holes () with the lever () at the connection position.

Lever-type connector

A wire cover () is mounted on a rear surface of a housing () so that a bundle of wires can be () pulled out in a predetermined direction from a rear surface of the housing (). The wire cove () includes a band inserting portion () having a curved shape to extend along a part of an outer surface of the bundle of the wires () in a circumferential direction and defines a route for a binding member () for binding the bundle of the wires (). A lock fixing portion () is provided on an end of the band inserting portion () in the circumferential direction and is configured to position a lock () of the binding member () for locking a band () wound around the bundle of wires () at a predetermined position, and a reinforcing portion () is provided on the lock fixing portion ().

Wire cover

A wire cover () is mounted on a rear surface of a housing () such that a bundle of wires () pulled out from a rear surface of the housing () is guided in a predetermined direction. The wire cover () includes a binding member () with a band () to be wound around the wires () and a lock () for locking the band () at a predetermined position. The bundle of the wires () is fixed by the binding member (). The band () extends from a first outer surface () of the lock () and is inserted into the interior of the lock () from a second outer surface () of the lock () to be locked. First positioning portions () contacts the first surface () of the lock () and a second positioning portion () contacts the second surface () of the lock ().

A lattice () is provided on a rear surface of a connector main body () and defines a plurality of insertion openings (). The lattice () includes first and second walls () extending parallel to each other in the same direction and third walls () intersecting the first and second walls (,). Rear ends of the first, second and third walls () are located more backward in the order of the second walls (), the third walls () and the first walls (). The first walls () provide identification from the surrounding by projecting more backward than the second walls (). The third walls () achieve an improved resin flow by alleviating steps between the first and second walls ().

Connector

Protection walls () stand on an upper surface of a connector housing () and a lock arm () is arranged between them. A planar portion () is formed on the upper surface of the lock arm () and is connected to the protection walls (). Grooves () extend forward from the rear of the planar portion () and a part of the planar portion () before the groove () defines a deflection support () of the lock arm (). Reverse-turn preventing walls () protrude in from the protection walls () and reverse-turn preventing pieces () protrude out from the lock arm () below the reverse-turn preventing walls (). The reverse-turn preventing pieces () contact the reverse-turn preventing walls () to limit deflection of the lock arm (). The deflection support () and the reverse-turn preventing walls () are at the same height to miniaturize the connector height.

A housing () includes locking lances (A,B) for retaining terminal fittings () inserted into terminal accommodating chambers (A,B) arranged side by side in upper and lower levels and deformation spaces (A,B) extending in an arrangement direction of the locking lances (A,B) and allowing the locking lancesA,B to be resiliently deformed away from the terminal fittings (). When deformation preventing portions (A,B) of a retainer () are inserted into the deformation spaces (A,B), the locking lances (A,B) are prevented from being deformed away from the terminal fittings (). The retainer () includes a rectangular tube () formed by the two deformation preventing portions (A,B) and two couplings () coupling the deformation preventing portions (A,B), and the housing () includes accommodating portions () for accommodating the couplings ().
