A terminal includes a connection part electrically connectable to a mating terminal, and a crimp part capable of crimping a cable. The connection part includes a first base having electrical conductivity, and a first plating layer that covers the first base, has a Vickers hardness of 250 Hv or more, and contains silver alloy containing silver. The crimp part includes a second base having electrical conductivity, and a second plating layer that covers the second base, has a Vickers hardness of less than 225 Hv, and contains either silver or silver alloy containing silver.

A terminal-equipped electrical wire according to a first aspect of the present invention includes an electrical wire having a conductor and an electrical-wire coating member covering the conductor, and a crimp terminal having a crimp-terminal main body electrically connected to the conductor of the electrical wire, and an anticorrosive plating layer provided to a portion of a surface of the crimp-terminal main body, the portion being in contact with at least the conductor of the electrical wire. A partition wall defines a plurality of chambers adapted to accommodate terminals which are inserted from a rear end portion of a housing body. The partition wall is formed with a recessed part. A pair of opposite side walls and a bottom wall interconnecting the side walls define a recessed space at a front end portion of the housing body such that front ends of the terminals accommodated in the chambers are exposed therefrom. Each of the side walls is formed with a recessed part. A front holder is fitted into the recessed space in a first direction to cover the exposed front ends of the terminals. The front holder has a pair of first projections, each of which is formed with a first flat face facing in a second direction opposite to the first direction and extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction, and is adapted to be engaged with the recessed part of each of the side walls. The tip end portions of positioning projections protruded on the attachment surface of an insulation housing opposing to a circuit board are respectively inserted into positioning holes provided at the circuit board thereby to position the board connector relatively with respect to the circuit board. Thereafter, the tip end portions of terminals protruding in the attachment direction from the attachment surface are inserted into the through holes of the circuit board, and also the tip end portions of attachment arms provided at the both side surfaces of the insulation housing and protruding in the attachment direction are inserted into attachment holes provided at the circuit board thereby to have engagement projections provided at the tip ends of the attachment arms pass through and engage with the attachment holes, respectively, whereby the board connector is fixed to the circuit board.

On the lateral side of the front end of a male connector housing , protective cover parts B are formed so as to extend sideways. Before fitting the connector to the connector , the protective cover parts B operate to protect the rotation handling part . When fitting the connector to the connector , the protective cover parts B come into contact with a guide slant face formed on the bracket , so that the cam lever can be prevented from being broken.
