Control device for fuel cell vehicle

Disclosed is a control device for a fuel cell vehicle which prevents that a fuel cell vehicle cannot run immediately after an abnormal condition of a fuel cell occurs. A current supply limiting unit permits output current limiting means to interrupt a current supplied from a fuel cell to a capacitor and a motor driver when an upper limit amount of generated electric energy (Ifc_LMT) outputted from a fuel cell control unit and indicative of an upper limit amount of electric energy generated by the fuel cell is equal to a predetermined amount of generated electric energy or lower. A hybrid vehicle includes a power drive unit which is quickly stopped without increasing the load on a motor control apparatus should a short develop inside the power drive unit. The power drive unit contains a self-protection circuit, which shuts off the control signals to the switching elements for a given interval, when the temperature of the switching elements reaches a certain temperature value or when the current flowing in the power drive unit reaches a certain current value. The self-protection circuit outputs a shorting signal to indicate the state of the self-protection caused by the shut off. The motor control apparatus detects shorting signals from the self-protection circuit, and responds by stopping the output of control signals, when the self-protection state is reported, is greater than a predetermined number of times or the cumulative time in the self-protection state reaches a predetermined time.

Hybrid vehicle

The motor control apparatus of the present invention is provided for a hybrid vehicle with a combustion engine for outputting a driving force, an electric motor for generating a force for assisting the output from the engine, a power storage unit for supplying electric power to the motor and for storing electric energy regenerated by the motor, and electrical equipment which is operated by electric power. The motor control apparatus comprises: a first electric power measuring device for measuring the electric power supplied from or stored in the power storage unit; a second electric power measuring device for measuring the electric power supplied to or drawn from the motor; a drive mode determining device for determining the drive mode, based on a predetermined parameter; a measured electric power selector for selecting one of the value measured by the first electric power measuring device and the value measured by the second electric power measuring device, depending on the determination by the drive mode determining device; and a motor controller for controlling the electric power which is to be supplied to or is to be drawn from the motor, depending on the measured value selected by the measured electric power selector.

Motor control apparatus for hybrid vehicle

In an electric vehicle in which regenerative braking is performed in preference to hydraulic braking, an uncomfortable vibration generated due to a sudden variation in the load of a motor, is prevented at the start of the regenerative braking. At the start of the braking, the regenerative braking force is gradually increased from a previously set regenerative initial value to a demanded braking force rather than being increased quickly to the demanded braking force, thereby preventing the generation of the vibration. A deficiency in the braking force during this time is compensated for with the hydraulic braking force. When the demanded braking force exceeds a regenerative acceptable value, the regenerative braking force does not exceed the acceptable value, and a deficiency of braking force thereafter is compensated for with the hydraulic braking force.

Brake system for an electric vehicle

A control system for an electric vehicle includes an accelerator opening detecting device for detecting a position of an accelerator, and an output command value calculating device connected to the accelerator opening detecting device for calculating an output command value of a drive motor of the electric vehicle based upon the detected accelerator opening. A motor control device is connected to the output command value calculating device, and controls the output of the motor based upon the output command value. An accelerator opening learning device learns actual accelerator opening positions, and includes at least one of a full-closure learning apparatus for generating a full-closure determined value of the accelerator based upon an output of the accelerator opening detecting device, and a full-open learning apparatus for generating a full-open determined value based upon the detected accelerator opening. The system also includes an output command value limiting device for limiting the output command value output by the output command value calculating device until the accelerator opening learning device has generated the full-closure determined value and the full-open determined value. This configuration reduces the rough and unstable output changes of a motor until the learning has been completed.

Control system for electric vehicle

In an electric vehicle in which a motor is driven using the electric power of a battery, and a PWM controller controls an inverter mounted between the battery and the motor. The frequency of the PWM control means is usually set higher than an audio frequency, in order to decrease the switching noise of the inverter. Motor operational state detecting devices detect when the motor is at low speed and high-load operational state, and if there is a possibility that switching elements of the inverter may be over-heated, the frequency of the PWM controller is decreased by a frequency changing device, thereby preventing damage to the switching elements of the inverter due to the over-heating.

A backup power supply 11 is not loaded by peripheral equipment 9 and a low-voltage battery 5. A switch controller 12 is energized by any of the backup power supply 11, the DC/DC converter 7, and the low-voltage battery 5 for controlling the energization of a relay 3L. When the power supply from the DC/DC converter 7 and the low-voltage battery 5 to the switch controller 12 is declined, it is complemented by the backup power of a low voltage from the backup power supply 11. Accordingly, the switch controller 12 is always energized with a sufficient level of the power supply regardless of the residual storage of the low-voltage battery 5.

Power supply control device for electric vehicle

In an electric vehicle including a transmission provided between a motor and driven wheels, if a shift change detecting means has detected the shift change from a 'D' range or an 'R' range to an 'N' range or a 'P' range when a stoppage detecting means has detected that the vehicle is in its substantially stopped state, a torque command value gradually-decreasing means gradually decreases the torque command value for the motor toward zero. This causes the face pressure of meshed portions of gears within the transmission to be moderately decreased, thereby preventing the generation of a striking sound due to a repulsion of the gear.
