A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display unit that displays, for each of frames, an image based on an input image signal; a drive unit that applies a voltage based on the input image signal to pixels of the liquid crystal display unit; and a control unit that controls an amplitude of the voltage applied to the pixels. The drive unit applies, in one of the frames, a voltage of the same polarity to the pixels connected to one of the source signal lines. The control unit includes: a temperature-information acquiring unit that acquires temperature information of the drive unit; and a filter unit that acquires high-frequency and low-frequency components of the input image signal in a substantial extending direction of the source signal lines. The control unit controls the amplitude of the applied voltage using the temperature information and an output value of the high-frequency component.

Liquid crystal display device

The present invention realizes proper driving circuits in a driving-circuit integral type liquid crystal display device which has an increased screen size. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel and a driving circuit which supplies video signals to video signal lines formed on the liquid crystal display panel. The driving circuit is comprised of a first driving circuit which is formed in a step similar to a step for forming pixels provided to the liquid crystal display panel and a second driving circuit which is connected to the liquid crystal display panel after formation of the liquid crystal display panel. The first driving circuit is constituted of a switching circuit which is capable of distributing an output of the second driving circuit to a plurality of video signal lines.

A display device includes a display panel having a plurality of video lines, and a drain driver receiving n-bit display data, and connected to the plurality of video lines. The drain driver includes a gray-scale voltage generating circuit which generates M (M&#x3c;2) pieces of gray-scale voltages, a decoder circuit which selects two gray-scale voltages from the M pieces of gray-scale voltages based on upper-order bits of the n-bit display data, an operational amplifier which includes k (k&#x2267;3) pieces of non-inverting input terminals and one inverting input terminal connected to an output terminal of the operational amplifier, and a switching circuit which selects the two gray-scale voltages of the decoder circuit, and applies the two gray-scale voltages to the k pieces of non-inverting input terminals of the operational amplifier based on lower-order m (n&#x3e;m&#x2267;2) bits of the n-bit display data.

Color image forming apparatus and method for stabilizing liquid developer viscosity

TFTs are formed on a substrate. An interlayer insulation film is formed on the substrate to cover the TFTs. Lower layer portions of SD lines formed of a multi-layered film which are formed on the interlayer insulation film constitute a lower electrode of an organic EL layer. An uppermost layer of the SD line is formed of a chemically stable metal oxide film, and the SD layer is used as it is. On the other hand, as a lower electrode of an organic EL layer, an upper layer of the SD line is removed and an Al&#x2014;Si, alloy film of the SD line is used. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to reduce a cost by shortening steps while holding the performance and the reliability of organic EL.

Liquid crystal display device with common electrodes connected across gate signal lines utilizing bridge lines and connection portions

A display device includes a plurality of pixels and drive circuits which drive the plurality of pixels, wherein each drive circuit includes a first input/output terminal, a second input/output terminal, a scanning-direction changeover terminal, and a position designation terminal. In response to a voltage applied to the position designation terminal and a scanning-direction control signal applied to the scanning-direction changeover terminal, the scanning direction is switchable between the first scanning direction which acquires a start pulse from the first input/output terminal and outputs the start pulse from the second input/output terminal and the second scanning direction which acquires the start pulse from the second input/output terminal and outputs the start pulse from the first input/output terminal.

The present invention provides a toner having: a toner mother particle; a first external additive including a first inorganic fine particle having a primary particle size distribution of 200 to 750 nm and a work function approximately equivalent to that of the toner mother particle; a second external additive including a second inorganic fine particle having an mean particle size smaller than that of the first inorganic fine particle and a work function smaller than that of the toner particle, a stirring member of a developing device and/or an inner wall of the developing device; and 0.01% to 0.3% by weight of a metal soap having a work function approximately equivalent to that of the toner mother particle.

Toner, developing device and developing method using the same

The present invention provides a display device which can suppress the increase of a chip size while reducing the number of transistors of a decoder circuit compared to the prior art. Assuming m (m being an integer of 2 or more) as a lower-order bit in accordance with n-bit display data, a drive part includes a gray-scale voltage generating circuit which generates M pieces of gray-scale voltages where the gray scale number with respect to the gray-scale voltages is discontinuous, a decoder circuit which selects two neighboring gray-scale voltages out of M pieces of gray-scale voltages based on data of upper-order (n-m) bits in accordance with n-bit display data, and an output amplifying circuit which generates gray-scale voltages between two gray-scale voltages from two gray-scale voltages selected by the decoder circuit based on the data of lower-order m bits in accordance with n-bit display data and outputs the gray-scale voltages to the video lines.

The invention provides an imaging system wherein toners of two or more colors are used to form toner images and the toner images are successively used to form a color image on a recording material. The imaging system can form an image with high transfer efficiency. An electrostatic latent image is formed on an image carrier. Using developing units for two or more colors, images are formed. Then, the images are successively transferred onto an intermediate transfer medium at a transfer voltage fed from a constant-voltage power supply. The developing units are located such that development occurs in descending toner work function order.

Imaging system

The present invention realizes a liquid crystal display which mounts driving circuits of low power consumption on a substrate on which a display part is mounted. The driving circuits which supply gray scale voltages to pixels are mounted on a liquid crystal display panel. Display data is transferred between the driving circuits using wiring formed on the liquid crystal display panel, the display data is transferred in the inside of the driving circuits through inner data bus lines, and a data inversion calculation which inverts values of the display data is performed in the inside of the driving circuits for achieving the low power consumption.

Liquid crystal display

An electrostatic latent image is formed on an image carrier. A first roller is opposed to the image carrier with a gap in between. A second roller is in contact with the first roller such that toner of a one-component type is supplied onto the image carrier by way of the first roller to develop the electrostatic latent image as a visible toner image. A single power source supplies a bias voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed on a DC bias voltage. The bias voltage is supplied to the first roller through a first path and to the second roller through a second path. A resistor is provided on the first path between the first roller and a branching point of the first path and the second path.
