To increase the difference between the thermal conductivity of the carrier gas and the thermal conductivity of each component of the sample gas. The analysis method is an analysis method that performs analysis using a gas chromatograph including a thermal conductivity detector. The analysis method includes introducing a carrier gas and a sample gas into a separation column, introducing the sample gas separated in the separation column into a gas introduction chamber including an element having an electrical characteristic changed by temperature, detecting a change in the electrical characteristic of the element due to the sample gas being introduced, and switching the carrier gas from a first carrier gas to a second carrier gas that is a different type from the first carrier gas, while a component of the sample gas is passing through the separation column.

Analysis method and analysis device

To provide a discharge ionization current detector, where a partitionin which a through hole for penetrating a tubulefor introducing a sample gas is created is provided between a collector electrodeand an outlet for discharging a gasso that a gas for generating plasma that has been generated by electrodes for dischargeandpasses through a gap between the through hole and the tubuleso as to be directed towards the outlet for discharging a gas, and thus, the air that has entered from the other sideof the partition cannot pass through the through hole in the opposite direction.

Discharge ionization current detector and gas chromatograph

A discharge ionization current detector is provided with a dielectric tube through which plasma generating gas flows, a plasma generating unit formed from one section of the dielectric tube in a flow direction of the plasma generating gas, a casing connected to a lower end portion, in the flow direction of the plasma generating gas, of the dielectric tube, a sample ionization unit provided inside the casing, and an ion current detection unit for detecting a sample component ionized by the sample ionization unit. The lower end, in the flow direction of the plasma generating gas, of the dielectric tube protrudes into the space inside the casing.
