A motor drive control device includes a control circuit configured to output a drive control signal for driving a motor, and a drive circuit configured to drive the motor with the drive control signal. The control circuit calculates a lead angle value &#x3b4; allowing a d-axis current value Id of a two-phase rotating coordinate system to be zero with a q-axis current value Iq calculated from drive current values Iu, Iv, and Iw of a coil of the motor and rotation speed &#x3c9; of a rotor of the motor. The control circuit performs a space vector conversion based on an angle &#x3c3; obtained by adding the lead angle value &#x3b4; and rotation angle &#x3b8; and voltage command value Vref of the two-phase rotating coordinate system calculated to reduce a difference between the q-axis current value Iq and a q-axis current command value Iqref, to generate the drive control signal.

Motor drive control device and motor drive control method

A motor drive control device includes a drive circuit configured to drive a motor with a drive control signal for driving the motor, and a control circuit configured to perform a vector control arithmetic operation based on a detection result of drive currents of coils of the motor, to generate the drive control signal and supply the drive control signal to the drive circuit. When generating the drive control signal, the control circuit estimates a rotation angle of a rotor of the motor and a rotation speed of the rotor with a q-axis current value of a two-phase rotating coordinate system calculated with a detection result of the drive current, and a q-axis voltage command value of the two-phase rotating coordinate system, by using a linear Kalman filter including a prediction step and an update step, using a stationary Kalman filter with the prediction step expressed linearly and time-invariantly.

A motor drive controller includes a control unit configured to control a motor drive unit, wherein the motor drive unit includes switching circuits for the three-phase windings, respectively, each of the switching circuits including two switching elements, wherein the control unit is configured to place a first switching element among the two switching elements in an 'on' state for an energization period while placing a second switching element among the two switching elements in an 'off' state, to place the second switching element alternately in the &#x201c;on&#x201d; and &#x201c;off&#x201d; states for the energization period while placing the first switching element in the &#x201c;off&#x201d; state, and to control the second switching element in an overlapping period during which two adjacent windings among the three-phase windings are placed in a same energization state, such that a magnitude of energization of the two adjacent windings changes gradually in a linear or nonlinear fashion.
