Provided is a resin mixture, comprising: polyolefin (A); a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (B); and an acid modified olefin-vinyl carboxylate copolymer (C), wherein the acid modified olefin-vinyl carboxylate copolymer (C) has an olefin content of from 50 to 95 mol %, and a difference between an ethylene content of the saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (B) and the olefin content of the acid modified olefin-vinyl carboxylate copolymer (C) is within a range of from 20 to 70 mol %. This enables to provide a resin mixture that contains polyolefin and an EVOH, and even in continuous melt molding over a long period of time, has a less amount of screw buildup of a degraded material and also is reduced in generation of fish-eyes, cords, and streaks in a molded product obtained therefrom.

Resin mixture and multilayer structure

An object is to provide a crosslinkable resin composition capable of forming a crosslinked product that has excellent hot water resistance and bending resistance. The present invention provides a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), a flexible resin (B), and a crosslinking agent (C) having two or more polymerizable groups, with the crosslinking agent (C) in an amount of 0.5 to 10 parts by mass relative to a total 100 parts by mass of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and the flexible resin (B), the flexible resin (B) being a styrene thermoplastic elastomer or an &#x3b1;-olefin polymer, and the resin composition having a mass ratio [(A)/(B)] between the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and the flexible resin (B) of 90/10 to 65/35.

A resin composition, containing: (A) polyolefin; (B) a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having an ethylene content of from 20 to 65 mol % and a degree of saponification of vinyl acetate units of 96% or more; (C) a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having an ethylene content of from 68 to 98 mol % and a degree of saponification of vinyl acetate units of 20% or more; (D) a random copolymer consisting of ethylene and vinyl acetate; (E) a pigment comprising titanium oxide particles comprising a surface coated with a compound of a metal other than titanium or a silicon compound; and (I) a lubricant; wherein a mass ratio (AB) is from 3 to 99.5, a mass ratio (B/C) is from 1 to 100, a mass ratio of (D/C) is from 0.1 to 15, a mass ratio (E/C) is from 0.04 to 50, and a content of (C) is from 0.01 to 2.4 parts, particularly 0.33 to 1.5 parts, by mass based on 100 parts by mass of (A) and (B). A molded product, in particular a multilayered structure, obtained by melt molding the resin composition has good dispersibility of the pigment, and improved uneven coloration.

Resin composition and multilayered structure using same

A multilayered structure having a layer A constituted with a resin composition containing a gas barrier resin, and a layer B being adjacent to the layer A and being constituted with a resin composition containing an elastomer. The total number of the layer A and the layer B is at least 7. The average thickness of the layer A in terms of a single layer is no less than 0.001 &#x3bc;m and no greater than 10 &#x3bc;m, and the average thickness of the layer B in terms of a single layer is no less than 0.001 &#x3bc;m and no greater than 40 &#x3bc;m. Disclosed is an inner liner for a pneumatic tire, the inner liner including no less than 8 resin-layers, the resin-layer having a layer A constituted with a resin composition containing a gas barrier resin, and a layer B constituted with a resin composition containing an elastomer, at least one of the resin compositions included in the layer A and the layer B that are adjacent with each other containing a metal salt, the content of the metal salt being no less than 1 ppm and no greater than 10,000 ppm in terms of metal element equivalent, and an interlayer adhesive force between the layer A and the layer B being no less than 500 g/15 mm. The layer A and the layer B are preferably alternately laminated.

Inner liner for pneumatic tire and method for producing the same

An object of the invention is to provide a multilayered structure having very superior gas barrier properties and being excellent in flex resistance, pinhole resistance, stretchability, thermoformability and interlayer adhesiveness, and having superior durability enabling characteristics such as high gas barrier properties to be maintained even if used with deformation such as flexion and/or stretching, and to provide a laminate in which the multilayered structure is used, and a production method thereof. Provided by the present invention is a multilayered structure in which at least 4 resin-layers constituted with a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer are contiguously laminated. A single layer of the resin layer has an average thickness of preferably no less than 0.01 &#x3bc;m and no greater than 10 &#x3bc;m. The average thickness is preferably no less than 0.1 &#x3bc;m and no greater than 1,000 &#x3bc;m. When the content of ethylene units of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is no less than 3 mol % and no greater than 70 mol %, the saponification degree is preferably no less than 80 mol %.

Multilayered structure and laminate, and method for production of the same

The invention provides novel processes for producing in-mold labeled containers and the containers produced using such processes. The processes involve setting a multilayered label having an oxygen barrier layer into a mold and injecting a melted resin suitable for forming a container into the mold. The process forms a container with an oxygen barrier layer. In preferred embodiments, the multilayered label has at least an oxygen absorbing resin layer containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and an oxygen absorbent and the container is retortable.

Labeled containers and processes for producing

Disclosed is a multilayered structure that includes no less than 8 resin-layers, the resin-layer including a layer A constituted with a resin composition containing a gas barrier resin, and a layer B constituted with a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin, at least one of the resin compositions included in the layer A and the layer B that are adjacent with each other containing a metal salt, the content of the metal salt being no less than 1 ppm and no greater than 10,000 ppm in terms of metal element equivalent, and an interlayer adhesive force between the layer A and the layer B being no less than 450 g/15 mm. The layer A and the layer B may be alternately laminated. Moreover, the average thickness of single layer of at least one selected from the layer A and the layer B is preferably no less than 0.01 &#x3bc;m and no greater than 10 &#x3bc;m.

Multilayered structure and method for producing the same

A compatibilizer contains a polymer (A) obtained by reacting a modified olefin-based polymer (a-1) with a polymer (a-2) containing a terminal functional group, wherein the modified olefin-based polymer (a-1) is a polymer modified with from 0.01 to 2 mass % of unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, and the polymer (a-2) is a ring opening polymer or condensation polymer containing a terminal functional group, capable of reacting with the modified olefin-based polymer (a-1), at both ends or one end thereof and has a number average molecular weight from 1,500 to 100,000. This provides an excellent compatibilizer. Particularly, upon melt processing a recovery of a multilayer structure including an EVOH layer and a thermoplastic resin layer, a recycling agent is provided that gives sufficient improvement effects to any of the adhesion of a degraded resin to a screw of a molding machine, the generation of die build-up, the generation of fish eyes, and the decrease in transparency.

Compatibilizer and method for producing same

Provided is a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) having an ethylen content of 5 to 55 mol %, which contains a specific structural unit (I) in an amount of 0.3 to 40 mol % and may be obtained by reacting an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) with a monofunctional epoxy compound (B) having a molecular weight of not more than 500. This can be produced by a method for producing the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) which comprises melting and kneading an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) with a monofunctional epoxy compound (B) in an extruder. The modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) is superior to a unmodified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) in transparency, stretchability, flexibility and flexing resistance due to the specific structural unit (I) incorporated therein, and thus, can be used as a barrier material in various applications requiring the above performance capabilities.

The present invention provides a resin composition having an oxygen scavenging function. The resin composition comprises 70 to 99.9 wt % of a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) and 0.1 to 30 wt % of a thermoplastic resin (B) other than the polyvinyl alcohol resin (A), wherein the thermoplastic resin (B) has a carbon-carbon double bond and a functional group including a hetero atom, and an oxygen absorption rate of the resin composition is 0.001 ml/m&#xb7;day or more.

The present invention relates to a coinjection stretch blow-molded container having a layer of thermoplastic polyester (A) that has specific properties and a layer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition (B) that includes specific minor components and has specific properties, and the thickness ratio of the layer of thermoplastic polyester (A) to the layer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition (B) (layer (A)/layer (B)) in the container body is in the specific range. The coinjection stretch blow molded container of the present invention has excellent gas barrier properties against, for example: oxygen and carbon dioxide; moisture-proofing properties; flavor-retention properties; flavor-barrier properties; and impact delamination resistance. Disclosed is an innerliner for pneumatic tires, wherein the innerliner comprises a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) obtained by reacting 1-50 parts by weight of an epoxy compound (B) with 100 parts by weight of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) having an ethylene content of 25-50 mol %. A pneumatic tire with the innerliner can greatly improve the internal pressure retainabilities before and after driving without increasing the weight of the tire.

Provided is a resin composition comprising 1-99% by weight of a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) having an ethylene content of 5-55 mol %, which contains a specific structural unit (I) in an amount of 0.3-40 mol % and can be obtained by reacting an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) with a monofunctional epoxy compound (B) having a molecular weight of not more than 500, and 1-99% by weight of a thermoplastic resin (T1) other than (C). Moreover, a multilayer structure in which the resin composition and a thermoplastic resin (T2) are laminated is also provided.
