Provided is a heating device which makes it possible to effectively perform heat exchange between a heating element and a heat medium without increasing the number of components, and further to eliminate air retention and increase of a pressure loss. A heating deviceis constituted of a caseincluding therein a flow paththrough which a heat medium flows, and an electric heating wire heaterdisposed in the flow path of the case to heat the heat medium. The case comprises a first case sectionand a second case sectioneach of which has at least one opened surface and which are connected to each other in a state where respective openings are made to abut on each other, and a plate-like gasketwhich is interposed between abutment portions of the first case section and the second case section, and seals a space between both the case sections, and the gasket controls the flow of the heat medium in the flow path.

A wabble plate type variable displacement compressor has a wabble plate rotation preventing mechanism including an inner ring axially movable relative to a main shaft, an outer ring connected to the wobble plate, a plurality of balls placed between guide grooves of the inner and outer rings and performing power transmission, and a sleeve axially movably engaged with the inner ring, provided so as to be axially movable together with the inner ring. A shape differs between the axial cross-sectional profiles of substantially concave spherical surfaces formed respectively in the inner periphery of the outer ring and the outer periphery of the sleeve such that the closer to the axial opposite ends of the contact portion between both the surfaces the position is, the greater the clearance between these surfaces. Implementation of the wabble plate rotation preventing mechanism in such a compressor can provide excellent durability and silent performance.

Disclosed is a wobble plate type variable displacement compressor that uses a constant velocity universal joint mechanism, which comprises an inner ring and an outer ring, balls that are held between guide grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring to transmit power, wherein a wobble plate is connected and fixed to the outer ring. In the compressor, the connecting structure for the outer ring and the wobble plate is formed by providing a plurality of concave portions arranged in a circumferential direction on one member, by plastically deforming the other member partially at locations corresponding to the concave portions such that it fits into the concave portions, and by fixing both members to each other in the axial direction and in the rotational direction by means of the plastic deformation. With this wobble plate type variable displacement compressor using the specified constant velocity universal joint mechanism, the structure for connecting the wobble plate and the outer ring in the wobble plate rotation preventing mechanism can be improved, thereby improving the productivity and reducing the cost and the weight.

Disclosed is a wobble plate type variable displacement compressor that uses a constant velocity universal joint mechanism, which comprises an inner ring and an outer ring, balls that are held between guide grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring to transmit power, wherein a wobble plate is connected and fixed to the outer ring. In the compressor, the wobble plate is provided with a cylindrical part which extends in the axial direction of a swash plate, and in the relative rotation structure between the swash plate, and the wobble plate and the outer ring, the swash plate is supported to be able to relatively rotate only in relation to the wobble plate via a bearing interposed at least between the cylindrical part and the inner diameter portion of the swash plate, without being supported to be able to rotate relative to the outer ring. With this wobble plate type variable displacement compressor using the specified constant velocity universal joint mechanism, the relative rotation structure between the wobble plate and the outer ring, and the swash plate, can be improved, workability and productivity can be improved, and the cost and weight can be reduced.

Disclosed is a wobble plate type variable displacement compressor that uses a constant velocity universal joint mechanism, which comprises an inner ring and an outer ring, balls that are held between guide grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring to transmit power, wherein a wobble plate is connected and fixed to the outer ring. In the compressor, at least any one of the guide grooves opposing each other of the inner and outer rings is formed along a guide groove cross-sectional profile to come into contact with a ball at two points. With this wobble plate type variable displacement compressor using the specified constant velocity universal joint mechanism, the ball retaining structure between the inner and outer rings in the wobble plate rotation preventing mechanism can be improved, and desired power transmission can be stably performed.

A compressor reciprocates pistons via a wabble plate wabbled while being prevented from rotating. A wabble plate rotation preventing mechanism is constructed as a mechanism comprising an inner ring axially movable relative to a main shaft, an outer ring connected to the wobble plate, a plurality of balls placed between guide grooves of the inner and outer rings and performing power transmission, and a sleeve axially movably engaged with the inner ring, provided so as to be axially movable together with the inner ring, and functioning as a central member for wabbling of the wabble plate. A difference in shape is provided between the axial cross-sectional profile of a substantially concave spherical surface formed in the inner periphery of the outer ring and the axial cross-sectional profile of a substantially convex spherical surface formed on the outer periphery of the sleeve such that the closer to the axial opposite ends of the contact portion between both the surfaces the position is, the greater the clearance between the surfaces becomes. Seizure and abrasion in sliding sections in the wabble plate rotation preventing mechanism using a specified constant velocity universal joint are suppressed, and a wabble plate type variable displacement compressor exhibiting excellent durability and silent performance can be provided.

A wabble plate type variable displacement compressor comprises a rotation preventing mechanism of the wabble plate which includes (a) an inner ring provided movably in the axial direction although rotation is prevented, supporting a main shaft at the inner diameter portion to rotate relatively and to move relatively in the axial direction and having a plurality of guide grooves for guiding a plurality of balls provided for power transmission, (b) a sleeve functioning as a wabble central member of wabble movement of the wabble plate, provided on the main shaft to rotate relatively thereto and to move in the axial direction and engaging with the inner ring movably in the axial direction, (c) an outer ring having a plurality of guide grooves for guiding balls at positions opposing respective guide grooves in the inner ring, supported on the sleeve wabblingly, supporting the wabble plate fixedly on the outer circumference and supporting a swash plate rotatably via a bearing, and (d) a plurality of balls held by the guide grooves formed in the inner ring and the outer ring and being compressed between the guide grooves to transmit power. While play in a uniform motion joint provided as the wabble plate rotation preventing mechanism in the radial direction and the rotational direction is suppressed, uniform and continuous contact of the plurality of balls operating for power transmission can be realized, and a compact, easy-to-machine and inexpensive wabble plate type variable displacement compressor exhibiting good durability and silent performance can be provided.

An inclined plate-type compressor includes a cylinder head, a discharge chamber having an annular shape and disposed along an outer circumferential portion of the cylinder head, a suction chamber disposed at a central portion of the cylinder head, a valve plate including discharge ports, and a discharge valve including reed valve-type valve bodies disposed in the discharge chamber. Each valve body opens and closes a corresponding discharge port, and each valve body extends in a circumferential direction of the discharge chamber and is oriented along the annular shape of the discharge chamber. Because each valve body extends in the circumferential direction of the discharge chamber, the length of each valve body may be increased as compared with that in known compressors, wherein the valve body extends in the radial direction over the width of the annular discharge chamber. Consequently, stress, which is generated at a root portion of each valve body when the valve body is opened or closed, may be reduced.

A swash plate-type compressor included a rotatable swash plate and a piston. The piston is connected to the swash plate via at least one shoe and reciprocates in company with each rotation of the swash plate. The swash plate has a layer of a sintered metal impregnated with a resin on at least a swash plate surface sliding against the at least one shoe. A surface of the impregnated layer is ground.

A swash plate for a swash plate-type, variable displacement compressor, such that the compressor is driven by a drive shaft having a shaft axis. The swash plate includes a boss that is penetrated slidably by the drive shaft. The boss is connected slidably to a rotor that is fixed to the drive shaft, whereby a variable, oblique angle is formed between a surface of the swash plate and the shaft axis. The boss is connected securely within the swash plate and comprises a nitrided surface layer.

A swash plate-type, variable compressor according to the present invention has a connection mechanism between a rotor and swash plate and includes a double pivot mechanism, and has a swash plate, the vertex of the oblique angles of which is shifted to the center of gravity side of the swash plate from the geometric center of the swash plate by a predetermined amount. By choosing an appropriate value for this offset distance, a characteristic curve of piston top clearance relative to change of oblique angle of the swash plate remains at a value of about zero over a relevant range of the oblique angle of the swash plate. As a result, volumetric efficiency of the compressor is effectively improved.

A connecting link between a rotor supported by a driving shaft to rotate synchronously with the driving shaft and a variable inclination cam plate supported by the driving shaft of a variable displacement swash plate compressor comprises a first arm extending from the rotor toward the cam plate and a second arm extending from the cam plate toward the rotor. The first arm is provided with an oval guide hole extending at right angles to a plane defined by the central axis of the driving shaft and the top dead center of the cam plate. The second arm is provided with a pin extending at right angles to the plane. The pin has a sector-shaped cross section with rounded apex. The pin is inserted in the oval guide hole with the apex of the sector-shaped cross section abutted against the long side surface of the oval guide hole distant from the rotor and the circular arc portion of the sector-shaped cross section abutted against the long side surface of the oval guide hole close to the rotor.
