A touch panel includes plural scanning electrodes, plural detection electrodes that are formed to intersect with the plural scanning electrodes, one or a plurality of layers being disposed between the plural detection electrodes and the plural scanning electrodes, plural holes that are arrayed apart from each other on each of the plural detection electrodes, and shaped into polygons each shaped to have five or more corners in a plan view, and plural dummy electrodes that are formed between the respective adjacent detection electrodes, made of the same material as that of the detection electrode, and electrically isolated from each other, in which the plural dummy electrodes are shaped into the polygons in a plan view.

Display device

A display device with a built-in touch panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, plural pixel electrodes provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, plural common electrodes provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, and plural detection electrodes provided on the first substrate. An image is displayed by, light control using an electric field generated between the plural pixel electrodes and the plural common electrodes. The presence or absence of touch is detected by a difference in capacitance due to the presence or absence of a material interrupting the electric field generated between one of the detection electrodes and one of the common electrodes. Each of the detection electrodes includes a through hole.

A technique capable of reducing the number of leading lines and making the area of a frame region smaller is provided. A display device includes an in-cell touch panel in which a pair of transparent substrates is arranged so as to oppose each other, a plurality of scanning electrodes are disposed on an opposing surface of one of the transparent substrates, and detection electrodes that intersect with the scanning electrodes are arranged on an opposing surface of the other transparent substrate. The display device further includes at least one first leading lines electrically connected the scanning electrodes and configured to supply a scanning signal to the scanning electrodes, and at least one second leading lines electrically connected to the detection electrodes and configured to output a signal detected by the detection electrodes. In the display device, each of the first leading lines is connected to at least two of the scanning electrodes having different widths.

A display device with a built-in touch panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, plural pixel electrodes provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, plural common electrodes provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, and plural detection electrodes provided on the first substrate. The touch screen being disposed in the display area. Provided is an electrostatic capacity type touch panel, which responds to not only an input by a finger but also a touch by a nonconductive input member. Disposed are X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP that cross each other via a first insulating layer, and a Z electrode formed of a transparent elastic conductive resin layervia a second insulating layer. The display device is provided with X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which cross with a first insulating layer in between and a number of Z electrodes which are electrically floating from each other with a second insulating layer in between.
