A control system includes an obtainer that obtains sensing data output from a sensor that performs sensing of an outside of a mobile body, a detector that detects a position of an object outside the mobile body based on the sensing data, a movement predictor that predicts a movement of the object based on the sensing data, a costmap generator that generates a first costmap based on the position detected of the object and a second costmap based on the movement predicted of the object, a path generator that generates a path for the mobile body based on the first costmap, a determination generator that generates a movement determination of the mobile body based on the second costmap and the path generated, and a controller that controls the movement of the mobile body in accordance with the path generated and the movement determination.

A determination method includes: obtaining first information indicating positions and shapes of one or more objects detected by a first detection device, and second information indicating positions and shapes of one or more objects detected by a second detection device determined in advance as a reference detection device; extracting a reference object that is a common object from the one or more objects detected by the first detection device and the one or more objects detected by the second detection device based on the first information and the second information, the common object being detected by the detection devices with a time difference within a predetermined range; comparing a position of the reference object indicated by the first information to the position of the reference object indicated by the second information; and determining whether the first detection device is operating normally.

An information processing apparatus is configured to distribute, to a vehicle, a map showing a road shape of a road on which the vehicle runs makes, for each of a plurality of areas and determine whether it is necessary to update the map of that area. An imaging control device includes: a first location estimator that estimates a future location of a vehicle using an advancing direction, velocity vector, or route data of the vehicle; a surface estimator that estimates a rate of change in the road surface height in the advancing direction or the road surface state at the future location, using surface information for estimating the road surface shape or state at the future location, detected by a sensor, or an image of the road surface at the future location, captured by an imaging device; a modifier that modifies a parameter of the imaging device according to the rate of change in the road surface height in the advancing direction or the road surface state; and a controller that causes the imaging device of the vehicle to perform imaging using the modified parameter, at a timing at which the vehicle passes the future location.
