A blowing system includes: a first blowing unit including a first body that houses a first fan and includes a first air outlet for blowing-out wind from the first fan; a second blowing unit including a second body that houses a second fan, includes a second air outlet for blowing-out wind from the second fan, and has a shape that is in two-fold symmetry with the first body; and a first connection that rotatably-connects an edge on a back face-side of a first side face of the first body and an edge on a back face-side of a second side face of the second body so that an angle formed by the first and second bodies is variable. The first and second blowing units come into contact at three or more points, and the directions of respective rotation axes of the first and second fans cross at a predetermined angle.

In a multi-processor system (), when a first processor interrupt generation unit () has executed a call command or a jump command in a main routine being executed, it generates an interrupt to a second processor. Upon reception of the interrupt from the interrupt generation unit (), the second processor saves the return address for returning to the main routing upon completion of the subroutine processing called by the call command in a main memory area () other than the first processor or generates a call destination address and a jump destination address and reports it to the first processor. Thus, the first processor can be a small-size circuit capable of flexibly performing processing.

Highly integrated multiprocessor system

A playback instructing unit in a disk playback controller has a function to instruct a CPU to play back an optical disk at different access positions in an absolute authentication process and an arbitrary authentication process. An absolute decision unit has a function to be activated by an absolute authentication instruction from the playback instructing unit and authenticate the decided result from an authentication decision means according to a first rule (which declares normal authentication based on a normal decision). An arbitrary decision unit has a function to be activated by an arbitrary authentication instruction from the playback instructing unit and authenticate the decided result from the authentication decision unit according to a second rule (which declares normal authentication based on an abnormal decision). Even if a special device which can normally authenticate an optical disk that should not be authenticated normally is connected to a disk access mechanism, the optical disk that should not be authenticated normally or the special device can reliably be detected to forcibly interrupt any process being carried out, so that the optical disk can effectively be prevented from being illegally copied.

Method of authenticating information, disk playback apparatus, and entertainment apparatus

There is disclosed an image synthesizing apparatus for producing a synthetic image that consists of a background image and at least a main image superimposed on the back ground image. An input image is displayed in a main display area of a control screen, whereas an outer frame and at least an inner frame are displayed in a sub display area of the control screen in accordance with a selected template. First a crop boundary having a similar shape to the outer frame is displayed on the image in the main display section. The crop boundary is movable on the image and changeable in size. After pasting a cropped area of the image as the background image in the outer frame, a second image is selected and displayed in the main display area. Then, a crop boundary having a similar shape to the inner frame is displayed on the second image, so a cropped area of the second image is pasted in the inner frame, to be printed as the main image.

Image synthesizing apparatus

A method for uniformly coating a moving substrate by eliminating nonuniformities in the voscosity of the coating solution along the line where the solution is applied to the substrate. A viscosity-varying region is provided either inside or outside of a coating solution pocket in an extruder assembly. In one embodiment, the voscosity-varying region is provided by making the length of a slit through which the coating solution flows onto the support less than that of the pocket. In another embodiment, the viscosity-varying region takes the form of small-diameter tube through which the coating solution is supplied to one end of the pocket. In a third embodiment, a roller is disposed in the pocket and the diameter of the roller and the pocket are tapered towards the center. In a still further embodiment, the solution is supplied through a distributor.

Coating method

An apparatus for removing foreign matter from a flexible support such as a photographic film or magnetic tape. After applying a solvent to the surface of the support from which the foreign matter is to be removed, the support is passed over at least two parallel adjacent plates which extend widthwise perpendicular to the direction of movement of the support, with the plates being located relative to the support at a position before the solvent evaporates. The edge surface of the downstream one of the two plates is provided with a cutting edge at the upstream side thereof. The cutting edge forms a gap with the surface sufficiently small that the foreign matter to be removed cannot enter the gap. Further, the gap is large enough to leave solvent film in a thickness of at least 0.2 microns after passing the two plates.

Apparatus for removing foreign matter from flexible support

A method for drying a running web or belt-like support with an organic solvent-containing coating solution coated thereon is described, comprising introducing the support into a drying room and drying it mainly by hot air blown into the drying room in parallel to the running direction of the support in such a manner that it does not strike directly on the coated surface of the support, while conveying the support in an arch-like or straight form on rolls provided in the drying room. This drying method provides high quality coated-layers and increases producitivity. Further, this method is particularly useful in the preparation of magnetic recording material.

Drying method

An extrusion coating apparatus continuously extrudes a coating solution from a top portion of a slot and applies the same in the form of a coat on the surface of a flexible support which is continuously run along a back edge surface and a doctor edge surface of the apparatus. The apparatus is characterized in that the doctor edge has a triangular cross-section. In addition, assuming that the downstream end of the doctor edge is indicated by A, the vertex of the triangular cross-section is indicated by B, the outlet end of the slot is indicated C, the outlet end of the slot on the back edge surface is indicated by D, and the upstream end is indicated by E, the outlet end of the slot on the back edge surface D is disposed at a position which satisfies the following equation: .angle.ABC&lt;.angle.ABD&lt;180.degree.. Finally, the angle between the tangent line of the back edge surface at D and the line A-B is greater than that between the line B-D and the line A-B, and the back edge surface does not extend beyond the tangent line to the base surface.

Coating apparatus

An extrusion type coating apparatus for applying a coating film to a support has a bent doctor edge made of cemented carbide having a very large hardness. The bent doctor edge has a very large obtuse angle and the resulting doctor edge allows the coating film to be applied smoothly to the support. Since the doctor edge is made of cemented carbide having a very high hardness, the doctor edge is not unduly worn by abrasives contained in the coating film thereby improving the wear-resistance of the apparatus.
