To make it unnecessary to insert a plate spring as a separate part between a metal ring () and a mating member () to be coupled therewith such as a clutch plate, and reduce the number of parts and the assembly manhours, the sealing device () includes the metal ring () and seal sections () such as packings supported by the metal ring (), and the metal ring () is provided with a intimate-contact region () for intimately contacting to the mating member () to be coupled, wherein the sealing device () is characterized in that the intimate-contact region () of the metal ring () is integrally formed with pawl-like intimate-contact sections () which are in the form of a pawl and which exert spring force on the mating member () to be coupled, and is used, for example, as a bonded piston seal (BPS) in an automatic transmission.

Sealing device

There is provided a plunger seal () for a fuel injection pump for a direct-injection gasoline engine, in which, even if a resin material is used for a fuel seal member (), the plunger seal can be made compact, sealing ability is increased, and assembling man-hours can be reduced, and in which set sealing performance can be achieved when a U-shaped elastic member () for applying an energizing force in a diametrical direction is used in a groove () formed in the fuel seal member (). The resin fuel seal member () and an oil seal member () are assembled to form one seal system. Further, when the U-shaped elastic member () is installed in the groove (), an axial position (L) of an end surface () at the side opposite to the sealed object of a fixing collar () formed on an inner peripheral surface of the groove () is positioned at the side (B) opposite to the sealed object than the axial position (L) of a leading end portion () of a seal lip () of the fuel seal member ().

Plunger seal for pump

To easily manufacture an encoder, in which N-poles and S-poles of magnets are arranged alternately in a circumferential direction and in which an unequal pitch portion is provided in a part on a circumference, without using a magnetizing head of a special shape having an unequal pitch portion, the unequal pitch portion is formed by arranging the N-poles and the S-poles at an equal pitch all over the circumference and then providing a part on the circumference with a shielding member for shielding a magnetism. Alternatively, the unequal pitch portion is formed by arranging the N-poles and the S-poles at an equal pitch all over the circumference and then providing a part on the circumference with a cut portion.

Encoder

A sealing apparatus has a main body which is mounted on a housing and is provided with a sealing lip, and a rotary body mounted on a rotary shaft of a member with which the apparatus is combined. The rotary body extends in the radial direction of the rotary shaft and has one side surface which is in sliding contact with the sealing lip. The apparatus also has at least one bent portion formed by bending a notch formed in an outer edge portion of a side surface of the rotary body.

Sealing apparatus

An improved radial oil seal adapted to be disposed between a housing bore and a rotation shaft inserted therein for sealing of fluid in a housing. The radial oil seal includes a first seal ring having a rubber seal lip in sealing contact with the rotation shaft, a second seal ring having a synthetic resin seal lip and disposed at the air side of and adjacent the first seal ring, the synthetic resin seal lip extending along the back face of the rubber seal lip and being in sealing contact with the rotation shaft. A reinforcing ring having a substantial rigidity is disposed at the air side of and adjacent the second seal ring and curved along a bent portion of the synthetic resin seal lip so as to support the back face of the bent portion. An outer ring is fitted into the housing bore for firmly holding the radially outer portions of the first and second seal rings and the reinforcing ring.

Radial oil seal

A sealing apparatus disposed between a housing and a shaft received in the housing. The sealing apparatus has, at least, a fitting portion which is fitted to either one of the housing and the shaft, and a seal lip of an elastic material which extends axially obliquely from the fitting portion and is provided at its distal end with a seal portion. The sealing apparatus is provided with a bend preventing portion which is formed at the distal end of the seal lip such as to extend axially outwardly of the seal portion.
