An optical unit comprises a movable body, a fixed body, a rotation support mechanism, and a gimbal mechanism, in which the movable body has a first side surface, a second side surface, a third side surface, and a fourth side surface as movable-body side surfaces, the first side surface positioning on an opposite side to the third side surface, and the second side surface positioning on an opposite side to the fourth side surface, a flexible printed circuit board is connected to the movable body on the first side surface side, has clearances provided with respect to the movable-body side surface, and has side-surface facing regions facing the movable-body side surface, and the side-surface facing regions are arranged to face the first side surface and the second side surface but not to face the third side surface and the fourth side surface.

Optical unit

An optical unit includes a movable body, a fixed body, and a gimbal mechanism. The gimbal mechanism includes a flat plate portion on an opposite subject side with respect to the movable body, two fixed body-side arm portions extending from base end portions to tip end portions in a first intersecting direction, and two movable body-side arm portions extending from base end portions to tip end portions in a second intersecting direction, the fixed body-side arm portions and the movable body-side arm portions are inclined with respect to the flat plate portion as viewed from the intersecting directions, and an inclination direction of the fixed body-side arm portions and an inclination direction of the movable body-side arm portions are opposite to each other as viewed from the intersecting directions.

An optical unit with a runout correction function includes a reflection member, a camera module having a lens and an image pickup element, a holding member that rotatably holds the reflection member and also holds the camera module, and a fixing member that rotatably holds the holding member. A second rotation mechanism rotates the reflection member held in the holding member with an optical axis direction, which is a direction of an optical axis of the lens, as an axis direction of the rotation and is capable of runout correction in a yaw direction. In the optical unit with a runout correction function, when the runout correction in the yaw direction is performed, the image pickup element held in the holding member is rotated together with the reflection member with the optical axis direction as the axis direction of rotation.

Optical unit with runout correction function

In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a cylindrical holder having an inner peripheral side on which a camera module is fixed is composed of metal. In the optical unit with a shake correction function, a case-side protrusion projecting toward the inner peripheral side of a cylindrical case surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the holder is formed on the inner peripheral side of the case. When a movable body moves relative to a fixed body while the optical axis of a camera module tilts the most, portions of the holder farther inside in the optical axis direction than edges formed on the outer peripheral surface of the holder before the edges come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the case.

Optical unit with shake correction function

An optical unit is provided and includes: a movable body having an optical module; a fixed body; a support mechanism turnably supporting the movable body with respect to the fixed body; a flexible circuit board whose one end is connected with a connection part provided in the movable body and which is disposed on a side in a first intersecting direction intersecting an optical axis direction with respect to the movable body; and a positioning part being disposed on the side in the first intersecting direction with respect to the movable body and positioning an other end of the flexible circuit board in the optical axis direction. The flexible circuit board is folded to be overlapped with each other when viewed in the optical axis direction. A position in the optical axis direction of a turning axis is located within a range from the connection part to the positioning part.

An optical unit is provided and includes: a movable body having an optical module, a fixed body, a support mechanism turnably supporting the movable body with respect to the fixed body, a flexible wiring board whose one end connected with a connection part provided in the movable body and disposed on a side in a first intersecting direction intersecting an optical axis direction with respect to the movable body, and a positioning part disposed on the side in the first intersecting direction and positioning an other end of the flexible wiring board in the optical axis direction. The flexible wiring board is folded to be overlapped with each other when being viewed in the optical axis direction. A position in the optical axis direction of the turning axis is located at a position on an outer side with respect to a range from the connection part to the positioning part.

A drive device is provided and includes: a movable body including an attachment part, to which an optical module is attached; a fixed body; and a support part rotatably supporting the movable body about an optical axis of the optical module attached to the attachment part with respect to the fixed body. The movable body includes a movable body-side fixing part, to which a flexible printed circuit pulled out of the optical module is fixed. The fixed body includes a fixed body-side fixing part, to which the flexible printed circuit is fixed. And, a portion between the movable body-side fixing part and the fixed body-side fixing part in a region along an outer periphery of the fixed body is set as a region drawn around in an attitude causing a thickness direction of the flexible printed circuit to be directions both orthogonal to a direction of the optical axis.

Drive device and optical unit

An optical unit includes: a reflection portion which reflects an incident light flux from an incident direction on the outside in a reflection direction toward an imaging element; a movable body including the reflection portion; a fixed body; a movable mechanism which allows the movable body to move relative to the fixed body; and a gimbal mechanism including a first support portion which supports the movable body swingably about a first axis, and including a second support portion which is swingably supported by the fixed body about a second axis intersecting the first axis direction.

In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a frame-shaped holder to which a camera module is fixed to an inner periphery being structured of a metal portion formed of a metal material, and a resin portion formed of a resin material and integrated with the metal portion by insert molding. The metal portion includes magnet fixing portions formed of a magnetic material and to which a driving magnet is fixed, and spherical body contact portions in contact with a spherical body made of metal and serving as a fulcrum for pivotal movement of the holder.

In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a first circuit board, which is pulled out from a camera module, and a second circuit board, on which a first drive coil and a second drive coil are mounted, are electrically connected by a first connection portion and a second connection portion, which are electrically connected while overlapping each other. Moreover, in the optical unit with a shake correction function, a drawer portion of the first circuit board is pulled out toward an outer peripheral side of the optical unit with a shake correction function.

An optical unit with a shake correction function includes a movable module and a fixed body. The movable module has a lens and is supported by the fixed body to be capable of moving in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the lens. The fixed body surrounds the movable module from an outer periphery side. The movable module includes a first substrate and a second substrate, with a thickness direction of either substrate being consistent with the direction along the optical axis. An image sensor is disposed on the first substrate. The second substrate is electrically connected to the first substrate to overlap the first substrate on an image side, and is smaller in shape than the first substrate when viewed along the optical axis of the lens. A flexible printed circuit board is led out from an outer circumferential surface of the second substrate.

Optical unit with shake correction function and portable device comprising optical unit

An optical unit including a reflection portion, a movable body, a fixed body; and a rotation support mechanism that rotates the movable body with respect to the fixed body in an axial direction as a rotation axis, in which the rotation support mechanism has a U-shaped spring member disposed between the fixed body and the movable body in the axial direction and applies a force in a direction that widens the space between the fixed body and the movable body, the spring member has a rotation-axis first forming member, the movable body has a rotation-axis second forming member, and the rotation-axis first forming member and the rotation-axis second forming member are arranged at positions where a rotation axis passes through a center of gravity position of the movable body.

In an optical unit with a shake correction function, a first inner-side wall surface disposed on an inner side of a first band-shaped portion of a circuit board in a Y-direction and a second inner-side wall surface disposed on an inner side of a second band-shaped portion of the circuit board in an X-direction are defined in an intermediate-member holder, and a first outer-side wall surface disposed on an outer side of the first band-shaped portion in the Y-direction and a second outer-side wall surface disposed on an outer side of the second band-shaped portion in the X-direction are defined on an outer-peripheral side covering portion. An interval between the first inner-side wall surface and the first outer-side wall surface is smaller than an interval between the second inner-side wall surface and the second outer-side wall surface.

In a unit with shake correction function, a driving magnet and a driving coil which constitute a rolling drive mechanism are arranged on an outer side of a radial direction with respect to a disposition space for an optical module that is provided in a movable body. Therefore, since there is no need to arrange the disposition space and the rolling drive mechanism to be deviated from each other in an optical axis direction, it is possible to make the unit with shake correction function thin in the optical axis direction. Further, in the rolling drive mechanism, since the driving magnet and the driving coil face each other in the optical axis direction, a magnetic field of the rolling drive mechanism does not easily enter the disposition space for the optical module. Consequently, magnetic interference between the movable body and the rolling drive mechanism can be suppressed.

Unit with shake correction function

An optical unit may include a movable body including an optical module, a fixed body which holds the movable body in a movable state, a gimbal mechanism including a first support part which swingably supports the movable body around a first axial line intersecting an optical axis direction of the optical module, and a second support part which is swingably supported by a member of the fixed body around a second axial line intersecting the optical axis direction and a direction of the first axial line, and a shake correction drive mechanism structured to drive the movable body around the first axial line and around the second axial line.
