A forced flue type combustion device in which an orifice is provided in at least one of an air supply passage and an exhaust passage, and in which the existence/nonexistence of a clog is determined on the basis of a detected pressure difference between the pressures on the upstream and downstream sides of the orifice, is arranged so that the existence/nonexistence of a clog can be determined with accuracy even during weak combustion with a low rotational speed of the combustion fan. Processing for increasing the rotational speed of the combustion fan is intermittently executed during weak combustion. During weak combustion, clogging determination processing based on the detected pressure difference value is executed only when the rotational speed of the combustion fan is increased. Clogging determination processing is started after the rotational speed of the combustion fan has become stable.

Forced flue type combustion device

There is provided a remote control unit capable of setting time by a simple operation at a time when a battery is attached. In the remote control unit which is operated by the battery to remote-control operation start and stop of an apparatus main body and in which setting of a timer operation by a clocking means is possible, when the battery is attached to start the operation, a forced mode setting means displays a clocking initial value in a liquid crystal display in step, starts a monitor timer in step, and sets a 'time setting mode' in which the setting of a clocking start initial value is possible by UP and DOWN switches without depending on the operation of a time set switch. When the UP or DOWN switch is not operated in step, and time is up in the monitor timer in step, processing advances to step, and the forced mode setting means switches the mode from the 'time setting mode' to an &#x201c;operation instructing mode&#x201d; in which the operation of the apparatus main body is possible by an ON/OFF switch.

Remote control unit

Disclosed is a space heater, with an air cleaning function, that monitors combustion at a burner, and prevents the halting of combustion due to the erroneous detection of a combustion abnormality. According to the present invention, a space heater includes: a heating unit control unit, which performs a 'heating operation' for igniting fuel gas at a burner to operate a heating fan; an air cleaning unit control unit, which performs an 'air cleaning operation' for operating an ion generator and an air cleaning fan; a combustion forced halt unit, for monitoring the combustion state of the burner based on a thermoelectromotive force TC generated by a thermocouple, and for halting combustion at the burner when the thermoelectromotive force TC drops, from a reference value TC_b, the equivalent of a determination level TC_j or more; and a reference value setup unit for, when the mode is shifted from an &#x201c;independent heating mode&#x201d;, during which only the &#x201c;heating operation&#x201d; is performed, to a &#x201c;synchronous operating mode&#x201d;, during which both the &#x201c;heating operation&#x201d; and the &#x201c;air cleaning operation&#x201d; are performed, designating as the reference value TC_b the thermoelectromotive force TC, generated by the thermocouple, that is stabilized after mode switch.
