A speaker system for use in an automobile vehicle, comprises: a pair of high frequency speakers disposed at opposite ends in a lateral direction of a front section within the vehicle; a pair of low/middle frequency speakers disposed at opposite ends in a lateral direction of the front section, a whole frequency speaker located in the center of the front section. Each of the high frequency speakers is a horn speaker made from a part of a windshield, a part of a side glass and a part of an upper surface of a dashboard in the vehicle.

Speaker system for use in an automobile vehicle

A cylindrical frame is mounted in a cabinet and a magnetic circuit is provided at an end of the frame. A diaphragm having a peripheral free edge is connected to a coil bobbin and a cylindrical ring is secured to the free end edge and disposed in a cylindrical supporting portion of the frame. An annular sealing member is secured to the cylindrical ring so that an outside peripheral wall thereof is slidably contacted with an inside wall of the cylindrical supporting portion of the frame.

A speaker system for reproducing a high fidelity sound field. In one embodiment, the speaker system includes at least two speakers, one of which is coupled with a phase shifter for shifting the phase of an audio signal in mid- and high-frequency ranges. The phase shifter shifts the phase between .+-.120.degree. and .+-.180.degree.. In another embodiment, the speaker system includes three speakers and the phase shifter shifts the phase of the audio signal applied to two of the speakers from that of the audio signal applied to the third speaker which is a tweeter.

A duct is provided in a cabinet for radiating sound pressure emitted from a speaker unit. The duct comprises a first duct and a second duct. The first duct extends in a direction perpendicular to a radiating direction of the sound pressure radiated from a front side of the speaker unit. The second duct is connected to an end of the first duct. An inner end of of the second duct is communicated with the cabinet. The speaker unit is disposed at a connection of the first and second ducts.
