A cutting device includes: a frame; a fixed blade including a first blade edge portion extending in an extending direction; a movable blade movable in a moving direction; a driving mechanism; and a pressing member. The movable blade includes: a second blade edge portion; and a contacting portion. The second blade edge portion has a valley-like shape such that a center portion in the extending direction thereof is closer to the contacting portion than end portions in the extending direction thereof are to the contacting portion. The second blade edge portion has shearing angles that are inclination angles relative to the extending direction. The shearing angles includes a first shearing angle that is the shearing angle at each end portion and a second shearing angle that is the shearing angle at the center portion. The second shearing angle is larger than the first shearing angle.

A printer includes a cassette mounting portion, a feed portion, a print head, a mechanical sensor, and a sensor holding portion. The cassette mounting portion is configured such that a tape cassette can be removably mounted therein. The tape cassette includes a tape and an indicator portion indicating a type of the tape. The feed portion is configured to feed, along a specified feed path, the tape contained in the tape cassette mounted in the cassette mounting portion. The print head is configured to perform printing on the tape fed by the feed portion. The mechanical sensor is configured to detect the type of the tape indicated by the indicator portion. The mechanical sensor includes a plurality of switch terminals and a switch holding portion. The sensor holding portion is configured to hold the mechanical sensor and to be moved between a first position and a second position.

The disclosure discloses an electronic device comprising a battery container, a side wall, and a plate spring member. The side wall is disposed upright along a direction orthogonal to an axis of the dry battery. The plate spring member elastically urges the dry battery contained in the battery container. The plate spring member comprises a base portion, a contact portion, and a connection portion. The contact portion is in contact with a positive electrode or a negative electrode of the dry battery. The connection portion connects said base portion and said contact portion while bending. The connection portion comprises a first bent portion and a second bent portion. The first bent portion that is bent so as to connect said base portion and said contact portion in an inverted V-shape. The second bent portion comprises a projecting portion configured to project to the dry battery side.

A printer that includes a cassette mounting portion into which a tape cassette is mounted and from which is removed a tape cassette in an up-down direction, a printing head that performs printing on the tape, a platen roller that faces the printing head, a roller holder that rotatably supports the platen roller, a sensor that detects the type of the tape, a sensor holder that holds the sensor, and a protective portion that is provided on the roller holder and is provided above the sensor.

When a cut lever is rotated, a tape printer cuts a tape by using a cutting mechanism unit. The cutting mechanism unit has a cut lever rotatably supported by a lever shaft, a cutter holder provided with a cutter blade and a cutter blade receiving member. Upon rotation of the cut lever, the cut lever moves the cutter holder in a cutting direction, the cutter blade presses and cuts the tape in cooperation with the cutter blade receiving member. At a point the cutter blade comes into contact with the cutter blade receiving member, a line segment connecting a lever shaft center and a contact protrusion tangent point T becomes perpendicular to the cutting direction.

Tape printing apparatus

It is intended to provide a printer which can prevent dust from entering and adhering to a printing medium, thereby avoiding entry of the dust to or near a print head, and can improve print quality. A first cover covers a first paper projection port through which paper as the printing medium is projected when the paper is inside a housing. This can prevent the entry of the dust through the first paper projection port to the housing. Furthermore, the first cover swings about a first engagement portion by pressure of a front end of the paper to cover the paper when the paper is projected through the first paper projection port in the forward feeding motion by the feeding device such as a paper feeding roller.

There is provided a tape printing apparatus capable of improving durability performance of a cutting mechanism constituted of a fixed blade and a movable blade tremendously. The bottom edge portion of an opening portion in a rear frame is formed to be located below the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of this movable blade by a predetermined height (for example, about 3 mm to 5 mm) when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, that is, a home position. That is, even when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, there is formed a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, a distance of about 3 mm to 5 mm) in the vertical direction between the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of the movable blade and the bottom end edge portion of the opening portion.

The actuator is provided on the front cover, and it makes an action when the upper cover is closed to the rolled sheet holder storing case, and the mechanical switch detects the action of the actuator. This arrangement forms a system that detects sequentially the action taken for closing the upper cover to the rolled sheet holder storing case, by relaying the action via the actuator, which is provided on the front cover, to the mechanical switch, which detects the action.
