An air purification apparatus includes an adsorption unit, a purification passage, and a regeneration passage. The adsorption unit adsorbs carbon dioxide and water vapor in air. The purification passage introduces air in a passenger compartment into the adsorption unit, and returns air, from which the carbon dioxide and the water vapor are adsorbed and removed by the adsorption unit, into the passenger compartment. The regeneration passage introduces air for regeneration into the adsorption unit, and discharges used air for regeneration obtained by regenerating the adsorption unit to an outside of the vehicle. An upstream side of the adsorption unit of the regeneration passage and the purification passage is constituted by an internal air introduction pipeline configured to introduce air from the passenger compartment.

Air purification apparatus for vehicle

An air purification device includes an adsorption block, a housing, an introduction port for indoor air, an introduction port for heated air, a return port for indoor air, and a discharge port for used regeneration air. The adsorption block adsorbs purification target substances in indoor air, and is regenerated by dispersing the adsorbed purification target substances by circulating heated air. The housing accommodates the adsorption block therein. The introduction port for indoor air and the introduction port for heated air are provided on one end side of the housing. The return port for indoor air and the discharge port for used regeneration air are provided on the other end side of the housing. An insulating layer is provided between the housing and an outer surface of the adsorption block.

Air purification device

An air purification device for a vehicle includes: a sorption device provided with a sorbent; an air intake duct for sucking air in a vehicle cabin; an outlet-side three-way valve connected to the sorption device; an air supply duct for blowing air into the cabin; an exhaust duct for discharging air to outside of the cabin; a blower; a heater; and a controller. The controller selectively executes a purification mode in which air in the cabin is sent into the sorption device at a purification temperature, and purified air from which moisture and carbon dioxide have been removed by the sorbent is blown into the cabin, and a first regeneration mode in which air heated to a first regeneration temperature is sent into the sorption device, and exhaust air containing moisture and carbon dioxide released from the sorbent is discharged to the outside of the cabin.

Air purification device for vehicle

An air purification device includes: a carbon dioxide removal device configured to sorb and remove carbon dioxide contained in air; an air supply duct connected to a first outlet of the carbon dioxide removal device and having a blowing openingfor flowing out purified air from which carbon dioxide has been removed by the carbon dioxide removal deviceinto a vehicle cabin; and an exhaust duct connected to a second outlet of the carbon dioxide removal device and having an exhaust openingfor discharging the carbon dioxide sorbed by the carbon dioxide removal device to outside of the vehicle cabin, wherein the air supply duct is mounted to a front seat of the vehicle so as to be movable vertically with the blowing opening facing forward.

A flow channel located downstream of a temperature regulating device branches off into a first flow channel and a second flow channel. In the first flow channel, a windshield's-side flow channel connecting to a windshield's-side air outlet port and an adsorbent's-side flow channel connecting to an adsorbent inflow section are formed. At the time of regeneration treatment of an adsorbent, by interrupting communication between the first flow channel and the second flow channel, interrupting communication between a temperature regulating device outflow section and the windshield's-side air outlet port, and making the temperature regulating device outflow section and the adsorbent inflow section communicate with each other, the air warmed by the temperature regulating device is preferentially guided to the adsorbent.

Vehicle air-conditioning device

A vehicle air conditioner includes: a condenser that internally circulates a high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant which is discharged from a compressor and that heats air passing around the condenser; an evaporator that internally circulates a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant and that absorbs heat from the air passing around the evaporator; and a switching portion that switches flows of air in response to a heating time, a cooling time, and a dehumidifying-heating time of a vehicle. Also, the switching portion causes the air passing around the condenser to flow into a vehicle compartment during the heating time of the vehicle, causes the air passing around the evaporator to flow into the vehicle compartment during the cooling time of the vehicle and causes the air sequentially passing through the evaporator and the condenser to flow into the vehicle compartment during the dehumidifying-heating time of the vehicle.

Vehicle air conditioner

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a heat exchange unit including a condenser that radiates heat of refrigerant discharged from a compressor, and an evaporator that expands the refrigerant flowing out of the condenser using an expanding device and then absorbs ambient heat into the evaporator, the condenser and the evaporator being connected to each other. According to operation mode, air to be supplied to a vehicle interior selectively exchanges heat with the condenser or the evaporator, or sequentially exchanges heat with the condenser and the evaporator. A subcooler that cools the refrigerant flowing out of the condenser before the refrigerant is expanded by the expanding device is provided. The subcooler is disposed at a position below the evaporator and to which condensed water flows down.

Air-conditioning apparatus

An HVAC system for a vehicle includes a housing, a front HVAC unit housed in the housing and having a front blower, a first airflow path, and a front air mix door, a rear HVAC unit housed in the housing and having a rear blower, a second airflow path, and a rear air mix door. The HVAC system further includes an evaporator having a first portion disposed in the first airflow path and a second portion disposed in the second airflow path, and a heating core having a first portion disposed in the first airflow path and a second portion disposed in the second airflow path. An airflow directional door is disposed between the first airflow path and the second airflow path to regulate airflow from the rear blower to the first airflow path.

Integrated front and rear HVAC system

A front and rear integrated vehicle HVAC system includes a front HVAC portion with a front blower and a front vent outlet, and a rear HVAC portion with a rear blower and a rear vent outlet. The system includes a controller that determines a minimum voltage to be supplied to the rear blower to prevent an inverse air flow from being expelled from the rear outlet and/or a rear blower air intake. A voltage supplied to the rear blower is then set as the greater of the minimum rear blower voltage and a current rear blower voltage. The inverse air flow is air flow in the front HVAC portion generated by the front blower and intended for the front vent outlet that seeps into the rear HVAC portion and is expelled from the rear vent outlet and/or the rear blower air intake.

Method and apparatus for operating a vehicle HVAC system to prevent output of inverse airflow

A cooling storage evaporator system employs a pivoting frost control door upstream from an evaporator that, when closed, inhibits air from passing through a lower portion of the evaporator. Closing the frost control door results in condensed water freezing on a lower portion of the evaporator when the AC is ON. When a vehicle engine is turned OFF when the vehicle stops in an idle condition, thereby turning the compressor OFF, the frost control door opens so that air passes over the evaporator, including the frozen portion thereof, melting the frozen condensed water to maintain the cool outlet air temperature at the vent.

Cooling storage evaporator system for vehicle climate control

A vehicle air conditioner includes a first passage and a second passage and is capable of operating in such a manner that outside air introduced in the first passage is conditioned by an evaporator and a heater core and subsequently blown, as a conditioned air, from a defrost outlet, side defrost outlet and side vent outlet toward windowpanes and, at the same time, inside air introduced in the second passage is conditioned by the evaporator and the heater core and subsequently blown, as a conditioned air, from a center vent outlet and front and rear heat outlets into a passenger compartment.

A dual-integrated HVAC system for an automotive vehicle is provided that includes a housing, a front HVAC unit with a front blower, and rear HVAC unit with a rear blower whereby both the front and rear HVAC units are housed in the housing. The front blower generates an airflow through a front airflow path and the rear blower generates an airflow through a rear airflow path. A separating wall separates the front airflow path from the rear airflow path. The HVAC system further includes an evaporator with a first portion in the front airflow path, a second portion in the rear airflow path, and a seal situated between the first portion and the second portion.

Seal and drain structure for a front and rear integrated HVAC system

In a vehicular air conditioning apparatus, a pair of covers are provided on the respective sides of the casing that is constituted by respective air passages. The covers rotatably support a pivot shaft for a defroster damper and a pivot shaft for a sub-defroster damper. The sub-defroster damper is disposed in a passage directly connecting the heater core with the defroster blow-out port, and is disposed on an upstream side of the defroster damper. First and second blower units supply air into the casing. The sub-defroster damper is disposed so as to face a passage which is disposed even inside the casing. Thus, the flowing direction and the amount of air is adjusted.

Vehicular air conditioning apparatus

An HVAC system is provided and includes an evaporator for providing cold air and a heater core for providing hot air. A heater airflow path directs an airflow through a heater air outlet where a heater damper door controls the volume of the airflow through the heater air outlet. A defroster airflow path directs an airflow through a defroster air outlet and a defroster damper door controls the volume of the airflow through the defroster air outlet. The defroster damper door operates independently from the heater damper door. A separation channel is located between the heater airflow path and the defroster airflow path to separate the airflow of the heater airflow path from the airflow of the defroster airflow path.
