A resin composite fuel hose of a multilayer construction includes a resin layer as a barrier layer having a fuel permeation resistance, an inner rubber layer as an inner surface layer laminated on an inner side of the resin layer and an outer rubber layer laminated on an outer side of the resin layer. The outer rubber layer has a rubber hardness degree equal to or greater than that of the inner rubber layer, and the inner rubber layer has a permanent elongation equal to or less than 90%.

Resin composite fuel hose

A fuel hose which is excellent in antistatic property, sour gasoline resistance, a sealing property and the like. The fuel hose includes a polyamide resin inner layerand an electrically conductive coating layerwhich is formed by the following essential components (A) to (C):

A fuel hose having a fluororesin layer formed from a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and chlorotrifluoroethylene by powder coating or the like on the inner surface of a rubber tube is characterized by at least one of the following: (1) the copolymer contains a metal salt; (2) the rubber tube is of a mixture containing acrylic rubber; and (3) the rubber tube contains an organic ammonium salt or the like. The fuel hose is high in gasoline impermeability and flexibility and has a strong adhesion between the rubber tube and fluororesin layer.

A tank joint part has a welding member welded to the outer surface of a fuel tank and a main body formed of a material of low fuel permeability and welded or otherwise joined to the welding member. The welding member is formed of modified polyethylene, which is easily weldable or otherwise joinable to the outer surface of the fuel tank and the main body, and in which very fine particles of a layered mineral are easily dispersible. The mineral is dispersed in layers oriented substantially at right angles to the direction of any possible permeation from the tank joint part. The tank joint part ensures a low fuel permeability and a high bonding strength.

A rubber product with a metallic structure formed from an aluminum material having a vulcanized rubber bonded thereto. The vulcanized rubber is formed from a composition in which a natural rubber and an acrylic rubber are mixed in a proportion of 90/10-60/40 by weight. The vulcanized rubber has an island-sea structure in which fine particles of said acrylic rubber having a size of 0.1-100 &mgr;m are dispersed in a matrix phase of the natural rubber. A method of producing the rubber product with the metallic structure is also disclosed.

A bonded laminate structure which is obtainable by bonding a PBN layer (or PBT layer) to a thermoplastic resin layer without the use of an adhesive material. The bonded laminate structure comprises: a first layer comprising at least one of polybutylene naphthalate (PBN) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) as an essential component and having a surface subjected to an electric discharge treatment such as a plasma treatment; and a second layer comprising an amine-rich resin as an essential component and bonded to the surface of the first layer.

A fuel transporting tube including an inner layer which contacts a fuel being transported and which is formed of a polybutylene naphthalate resin, an outer layer which is provided radially outwardly of the inner layer and which is formed of a polyamide resin or a polyolefin resin, and an intermediate layer which is provided between the inner layer and the outer layer and which is formed of a resin to adhere the inner and outer layers to each other.

Fuel transporting tube

A fuel hose comprising a rubber layer and a fluororesin layer formed on the inner surface of the rubber layer, in which the adhesion to the fluororesin layer is improved by blending from 2 to 15 phr of a phenol-type resin with the rubber forming the rubber layer. Phenol resins of a specific polymeric structure are particularly preferred as the phenol-type resins. A fluororesin layer formed by melting a fluororesin and allowing it to adhere to the inner surface of the rubber layer by powder coating is particularly preferred. The provision of the fluororesin layer on the inner surface of the rubber layer enables simple and effective adhesion of the thinned fluororesin layer to the rubber layer.

A vibration damping rubber member having excellent durability, wherein an improvement includes: the vibration damping rubber member being obtained by vulcanizing a composition in which an unvulcanized natural rubber material and an unvulcanized acrylic rubber material are evenly mixed together in a proportion of 90/10&tilde;60/40 by weight. Upon vulcanization, fine particles of a vulcanized acrylic rubber having a size of 1&tilde;100 &mgr;m, obtained by vulcanization of the unvulcanized acrylic rubber material are dispersed in a matrix phase of a vulcanized natural rubber, which is obtained by vulcanization of the unvulcanized natural rubber material. A method of producing the vibration damping rubber member is also disclosed.

A hose of low fuel permeability has a fuel permeability in a bent state with R50 not more than three times a fuel permeability in a straight state, R50 being a bent state where the hose has its longitudinal axis bent to form an arc having a diameter of 100 mm. Its low fuel permeability is achieved if the resin forming its inner wall layer has a melt viscosity falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by, for example, increasing the degree of polymerization of the resin, or grafting a specific side chain to the main chain in each molecule of the resin, or if the resin has a volume swelling degree falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by copolymerizing a monomer having fuel resistance, or blending a polymer having fuel resistance. The hose maintains its low fuel permeability even if it may be subjected to a large load of bending stress as when it is used to form a fluid conveying line.

Fuel hose of low fuel permeability

A fuel hose which comprises at least one layer including an inner layer composed of a resin composition. The resin composition essentially comprises a polyester resin including at least one of polybutylene naphthalate and polyethylene naphthalate and further comprises a phosphate.

A fuel hose comprises a single layered or multi-layered tubular rubber body and a thin film resin layer formed on the inner circumferential surface of the innermost layer of the tubular rubber body. The resin layer is formed of a resin such that an amount of permeation of 10% ethanol-mixed gasoline is 2 mg/cm,/day (at 60&deg; C.) or less when the thickness of the resin layer is 0.1 mm. A preferred example of such a resin is EVOH with an ethylene content of from 35 to 50 mol % or polybutylene aromatic ester. The fuel hose has necessary flexibility and shows excellent impermeability even to an alcohol-mixed gasoline.
