A urea water supply system which performs permission determination by a control device based on a first parameter includes a cooling water temperature sensor, and a control device is configured to be able to store a result of the permission determination, and when a system control is restarted after the system control is stopped and a stop period is elapsed, it performs a shortening setting to shorten a time required for the permission determination based on the determination result stored at a time when the system is stopped and a cooling water temperature immediately after restarting.

Urea water supply system and control method therefor

The exhaust gas purification system includes a SCR, an NOx sensor which is provided on a downstream side of the SCR, and an NOx purifying controller which controls an amount of urea water being ejected to the SCR and performs an abnormality diagnosis based on a detection value of the NOx sensor, wherein the exhaust gas purification system includes an exhaust gas temperature sensor which acquires temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the SCR, a temperature increasing rate calculating unit which calculates a temperature increasing rate at which the exhaust gas temperature acquired by the exhaust gas temperature sensor reaches a second temperature from a predetermined first temperature, and a prohibiting unit which prohibits abnormality diagnosis by the NOx purifying controller in a case in which the temperature increasing rate calculated by the temperature increasing rate calculating unit is higher than a predetermined determination threshold value.

Exhaust gas purification system

A Selective Catalytic Reduction ('SCR') system that can detect a NOconcentration accurately irrespective of an operation state of an engine is provided. The SCR system including: an SCR device; a dosing valve; a NOsensor; and an urea solution injection control unit.

Selective catalytic reduction system

An exhaust pipe injection control device to optimally control a degree of exhaust gas recirculation ('EGR') opening during diesel particulate filter ('DPF') regeneration. The device includes a regeneration-time opening control unit which controls a degree of EGR opening of an EGR device during DPF regeneration, and a regeneration-time opening map in which an optimal degree of EGR opening of the EGR device during DPF regeneration is set in advance according to an engine rotation speed and a fuel injection amount of an engine. The regeneration-time opening control unit performs exhaust gas recirculation by referring to the regeneration-time opening map based on the engine rotation speed and the fuel injection amount of the engine and controlling the degree of EGR opening of the EGR device.

Exhaust pipe injection control device

A selective catalytic reduction system that can defrost urea aqueous solution without interruption of warm air of an engine or heating of a vehicle cabin. The system includes a defrosting control unit to open a tank heater valve at the time of starting the engine and close the tank heater valve when the temperature of the urea aqueous solution detected by a temperature sensor reaches a predetermined defrosting completion determination value, and a warm air priority control unit to prohibit the opening of the valve by the defrosting control unit when the temperature of the cooling water is less than a predetermined defrosting permission value and permit the opening of the valve by the defrosting control unit when the temperature of the cooling water is equal to or more than the defrosting permission value.

An exhaust gas purification system () comprises a DPF device () and a selective catalytic reduction type catalytic device (SCR catalytic device) () provided, in that order, from the upstream side of an exhaust passage () of an internal combustion engine (). During ordinary operation, a NOx emission amount is calculated from a NOx emission map for ordinary operation, while during forced regeneration of the DPF device (), a NOx emission amount is calculated from a NOx emission map for forced regeneration. A supply amount of aqueous ammonia solution (S) corresponding to the calculated NOx emission amount is then calculated. The aqueous ammonia solution (S) is then supplied into an exhaust gas (G) at the upstream side of the selective catalytic reduction type catalytic device () such that the amount supplied is brought to the calculated supply amount. As a result of this configuration, appropriate amounts of reducing agent can be supplied not only during ordinary operation but also during the forced regeneration of the DPF device (), and the emission of NOx and ammonia downstream to the selective catalytic reduction type catalytic device () can be suppressed.

Method for controlling exhaust gas purification system

The degree of a deterioration in catalyst is determined when the following requirements are satisfied: the operating state of an internal combustion engine (E) is in a predetermined operating state; and the temperature (T) of an exhaust gas, which flows into a catalyst (), is in a second temperature range (&#x394;T) in which the upper limit of the second temperature range (&#x394;T) is 10% below the upper limit of a first temperature range (&#x394;T) between the activation start temperature (Ta) and the activation end temperature (Tb) of the catalyst () before a deterioration and the lower limit of the second temperature range (&#x394;T) is 10% above the lower limit of the first temperature range (&#x394;T). A deterioration index temperature (Tic) is regarded as a shift level of light-off characteristics of the catalyst () toward the higher temperature side, and the deterioration index temperature (Tic) is added to the reference determination temperature (T) before the deterioration, and the sum is used as the determination temperature (T) for exhaust gas temperature raising control. According to the above constitution, the degree of deterioration of the catalyst () can be estimated without using a concentration sensor for an exhaust gas component such as an NOx concentration sensor with high accuracy, and the worsening of the state of the exhaust gas is suppressed while minimizing the worsening of the fuel consumption.

Method for control of exhaust gas purification system, and exhaust gas purification system

In a turbocharger equipped with a motor/generator, the motor/generator gradually decreases its generator output without shifting abruptly from generation mode to motor mode when a vehicle starts accelerating during cruising at a constant speed or runs along an upward slope, thus preventing abrupt increases in the loading on an engine. A control system for a motor/generator equipped turbocharger which is disposed across an exhaust conduit of an engine and includes a rotating shaft thereof on which a motor/generator is mounted is provided having a controller for, when the motor/generator is actuated as a motor, feeding the motor/generator with a supply of power from a battery, and when the motor/generator is actuated as a generator, converting an alternating current, high voltage form for charging the battery and also to a three-phase alternating current form for driving as a motor an alternator which is driven as a generator by the engine, an engine revolution sensor, an accelerator opening sensor, and an engine boost pressure sensor. More specifically, the control system comprises a calculating device for calculating a target boost pressure from the engine revolution sensor and the accelerator opening sensor, a first judging device for determining that the action of the engine is an acceleration mode when a difference between the target boost pressure and an actual boost pressure is smaller than a first predetermined value, and a device for decreasing the generator output of the motor/generator when the motor/generator is actuated as the generator during the acceleration mode judged by the first judging device.

Control system for motor/generator turbocharger

A power supply system for supplying electric energy to a rotary electric machine coupled to a rotatable shaft of a turbocharger for supercharging an engine includes a battery for supplying electric energy to the rotary electric machine, and a capacitor connected parallel to the battery through a switching control device. The capacitor is charged with electric energy from the battery at all times. When the engine needs to be revved up for quick acceleration, the switching control device is energized to supply electric energy stored in the capacitor, together with the electric power from the battery, to the rotary electric machine. Since the capacitor has a smaller internal resistance as compared with the battery, the capacitor can supply a large current to the rotary electric machine immediately after the accelerator pedal is deeply depressed for quick acceleration.

Power supply system for turbocharger with rotary electric machine

A turbocharger control system controls a turbocharger associated with an engine mounted on a motor vehicle, the turbocharger having a rotary electric machine mounted on the rotatable shaft thereof. When it is determined that the motor vehicle is about to start, the rotary electric machine is operated as an electric motor to effect a flying boost increase before the accelerator pedal is depressed. The boost pressure of the turbocharger is therefore increased to increase the response of acceleration of the motor vehicle to the depression of the accelerator pedal when the motor vehicle is started.

Turbocharger control system

A turbocharger with a rotary electric machine has a permanent magnet, nonmagnetized metallic member, or surfaces of different light reflectivities fixed upon a rotatable member of the turbocharger, as a detectable means. The detectable means is disposed in a position corresponding to the angular position of magnetic poles of the permanent magnet rotor of the rotary electric machine. A detecting means is disposed in a position coacting with the detectable means for detecting the angular position of magnetic poles of the permanent magnet rotor. A shield means is provided for preventing the detectable means from being adversely affected by magnetic fields, oil, and dust, so that a detected signal of a high S/N raio can be produced for accurately detecting the angular position of the magnetic poles of the permanent magnet rotor as it rotates.
