A lock-up device includes a clutch part and a damper mechanism. The clutch part includes a clutch input member, a clutch output member, a drive plate, a driven plate, a second flange and a piston. The second flange is mounted between a front cover and an inner peripheral part of a turbine to be axially immovable with respect to the front cover, and forms a lock-up oil chamber. The piston is mounted between the front cover and the second flange, forms a lock-up oil chamber together with the second flange therebetween, and is configured to be moved toward the front cover by an operating oil to be supplied to the lock-up oil chamber.

Lock-up device for torque converter

A lock-up device includes a clutch part, an input plate, an output plate, torsion springs and an input plate support member. The clutch part is disposed between a front cover and a turbine, and is configured to allow or block transmission of a torque. The input plate is coupled to a clutch output member of the clutch part. The output plate is fixed to a turbine shell. The torsion springs are disposed between the input plate and the output plate, and absorb and attenuate a torsional vibration. The input plate support member is fixed to a front cover side of a turbine shell and positions the input plate in a radial direction and an axial direction.

It is an object of the present invention to achieve reduction in size and weight of, and inhibition of axial size increase of, a power transmission device for a torque converter including a turbine functioning as an inertia element. The power transmission device includes a torque transmission plate fixed to a turbine, a damper mechanism disposed between a front cover and the turbine, and an engaging part. The damper mechanism elastically couples the torque transmission plate and a transmission-side member. The engaging part couples the torque transmission plate and the damper mechanism on a radially inner side of a torus center C of a torque converter main body.

Power transmission device for torque converter

A lock-up device includes a clutch part and a damper mechanism. The damper mechanism includes an input plate, an output plate, a plurality of torsion springs, an intermediate member and a restriction member. The intermediate member is configured to cause at least two of the torsion springs to act in series. The restriction member is fixed to a clutch output member of the clutch part, while being disposed such that a part of the intermediate member is interposed between the input plate and the restriction member in an axial direction. The intermediate member is restricted from moving in a radial direction by the clutch output member, while being restricted from moving in the axial direction by the input plate and the restriction member.

A support arm that is rockably supported on one end of a grip portion and projects from the one end is provided. Both ends of a blade head are supported by the support arm such that the blade head can rock around an axis extending along a reciprocating direction of an inner blade, and an axial direction of the rocking motion of the support arm with respect to the grip portion is set in a direction intersecting with the reciprocating direction of the inner blade. This configuration achieves an electric shaver capable of increasing the movable range of the blade head while preventing a main body from increasing in size.

Electric shaver

An inner cutter of an electric shaver that cuts hairs by sliding along an inner surface of an outer cutter includes a base portion that is connected to a driving unit, a plurality of cutting pieces that are formed in a U-shape and whose both ends in the longitudinal direction are fixed to the base portion, and a plate member whose one end is fixed to the base portion and the other end is connected to the cutting piece. The plate member is elastically deformed corresponding to elastic deformation of the cutting piece.

Inner cutter of electric shaver and reciprocating electric shaver

A dry shaver has an elongated shaving head with a lengthwise axis. The shaving head carries semi-cylindrical first and second outer cutters disposed on its opposite width ends, as well as a semi-cylindrical finishing cutter and a slit cutter interposed between the first and second outer cutters. The finishing cutter has a finishing foil which is deeply curved than a foil of the first and second outer cutters into an arcuate contour having a width less than that of the first and second outer cutters. The finishing foil disposed behind the first outer cutter comes into contact with a user's skin to make closer shaving than the first and second cutters.

A hydrodynamic torque transmitting device is disclosed that overcomes problems created by the presence of a thrust washer therein. In a torque converteraccording to the present invention, a pistonis disposed between a front coverand a turbineto form a front chamber F on a front cover side and a rear chamber R on a turbine side, and can move toward and away from the front coverby means of a hydraulic pressure differential created between the front and rear chambers F and R. The pistonhas a disk shaped body, and a frictional coupling portion (friction facing) disposed on a outer peripheral portion of the bodythat serves to frictionally engage with the front cover. The turbine huband the front coverhave opposing portions () that oppose each other across an axial space. The pistonhas a support portionthat axially supports the turbinewhen the pistonmoves to a position near the front cover. When the pistonmoves to a position closest to the front cover, an axial space is maintained between the opposing portions ().

Hydrodynamic torque transmitting device

A razor blade is provided, which achieves improved safety in use and reduced cutting resistance to an object to be cut such as beard and hair, as compared with conventional razor blades. This razor blade can be obtained by using, as a silicon thin sheet, a single crystal silicon material such as Si wafer or a polycrystalline silicon material including relatively large silicon crystal grains, forming at least one opening in the silicon thin sheet by chemical etching, and forming a cutting edge made of silicon single crystal by ion beam etching without machining such that the cutting edge projects into the opening and has a nose radius of 0.5 &#x3bc;m or less, and preferably 0.1 &#x3bc;m or less.

Razor blade

An inner cutter for a dry shaver is fabricated from a metal plate to have a plurality of blades each provided with cutting edges. The metal plate includes a plurality of parallel straight slits to leave an array of straight beams each defined between the adjacent ones of the slits. The beams are forged and ground at a segment of each beam to give the cutting edges thereto. After making the cutting edges, the metal plate is bent into a generally U-shaped configuration so as to correspondingly curve the beams and shape the beams into the blades having the arcuate contour and the cutting edges. The metal plate is provided with a joint for connection with a driving source of moving the inner cutter relative to an outer cutter.

Method of manufacturing inner blade for electric razor

A stator support structure of a torque converter is configured to reduce the number of parts and an axial size of the stator support structure. The stator support structure has a first support member , a second support member and a one-way clutch body . The first support member has a first annular flange extending radially outward and a first thrust receiving portion . The second support member has a second annular flange formed of an inner peripheral portion of the stator extending radially inward and opposed to the first annular flange , and a second thrust receiving portion being in contact with the first thrust receiving portion . The one-way clutch body is disposed between the first and second annular flanges and , and is subjected to an axial load in a locked state for inhibiting rotation of the stator only in one direction.

Stator support structure for torque converter

A strong lightweight front cover that prevents distortion of a sliding contact surface when the front cover and impeller shell are welded together is provided. The front cover has a radial flange part and an axial flange part that extends from an outside edge of radial flange part . The radial flange part has a sliding contact surface on an axially facing surface thereof for sliding against a friction facing . The axial flange part has a connection part that connects to the radial flange part and a welding part that is connected by welding to a pump impeller. The various portions of the front cover have differing rigidities and thicknesses.

Fluid-type torque transmission device with lockup clutch

A torque converter is provided with a lockup device that functions as a clutch and as an elastic coupling mechanism. In one embodiment, the lockup device is configured to eliminate an outer cylindrical portion from its piston. Preferably, a spring holder has an outer portion arranged radially outside the torsion springs, while a drive plate has a cylindrical portion restricting radial movement of the spring holder. In other embodiments, the elastic coupling mechanism is configured with a sufficient number of sets of elastic members that act together in the rotational direction as if they were arranged end to end. The elastic coupling mechanism has one set of springs disposed radially inward of another set of springs. A spring holder connects first and second sets of springs such that the first and second sets of springs act together in the rotational direction as if they were arranged end to end.

Torque converter with lockup device

A piston (,) is disposed between a front cover and a turbine of a torque converter and is adapted to move in an axial direction in response to changes in the hydraulic fluid pressure. The piston (,) includes a disc-shaped plate portion (,), a flat annular portion (,), and an annular rim portion (,). The flat annular portion (,) is formed at an outer periphery of the disc-shaped plate (,), and is adapted to frictionally engage a portion of the front cover. The annular rim portion (,) is formed on an outer peripheral edge of the flat annular portion (,) and extends axially toward the turbine. The annular rim portion (,) supports the radial outer side of torsion springs disposed on an inner periphery thereof. By forming notches (,) in the annular rim portion (,), the rigidity of the flat annular portion (,) is reduced. Reducing the rigidity of the flat annular portion (,) makes the flat annular portion (,) more flexible so that upon engagement with the front cover, the flat annular portion (,) may more readily conform to the shape of the front cover in the event that the front cover is formed with irregularities or slightly undulating surfaces.
