In an aerial vehicle, a malfunction determiner determines whether there is a malfunction in one of thrusters of the aerial vehicle. A flight controller activates the thrusters, and controls the output of each of the thrusters. The flight controller deactivates, when it is determined that there is a malfunction in one of the thrusters as a malfunctioned thruster, the malfunctioned thruster. The flight controller deactivates a selected thruster in the thrusters; the selected thruster being paired to the malfunctioned thruster, and controls the active thrusters except for the deactivated thrusters in all the thrusters to make the flight attitude of the aerial vehicle stable. The flight controller controls the active thrusters to cause the aerial vehicle to land while maintaining the flight attitude of the aerial vehicle being stable.

Aerial vehicle

A battery charger of a battery charging apparatus is disposed on an exterior case of an engine in such a manner that a generated heat is transferred therebetween. An ECU drives a cooling system when an engine temperature and temperature of the battery charger satisfy a predetermined cooling temperature condition. A cooling capacity for cooling the battery charger is improved by establishing a heat radiation passage to radiate a heat from the battery charger efficiently.

Battery charging apparatus for vehicle

A power supply device includes a refrigeration cycle having a compressor, a motor, an inverter-integrated charger, a heat exchanger unit, and a controller having a determining unit. The inverter-integrated charger selectively controls operation of the motor using electrical power of a battery and charge of the battery with external power. The heat exchanger unit cools a cooling-necessary part of the inverter-integrated charger using refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle. When the vehicle is stopped and the battery is charged with the external power, the controller makes the inverter-integrated charger serve as: a charger to perform the charge of the battery; or an inverter to control the operation of the motor, thereby driving the compressor, upon determination that the cooling-necessary part needs to be cooled by the determining unit.

Power supply device for vehicle

To reduce entire length and radial dimension of a starter, the starter includes a driving lever composed of a lever body and a lever pin as a pivot center of the driving lever body. Further, the lever pin is disposed close to a center case in the radial direction. The dimension between supporting positions of both arm portions supporting the lever pin is set large. To provide the waterproof structure of a starter, a projection provided on a lever seal is inserted into a positioning hole of a lever holder in a lever assembly of a starter. Further, a tip of the projection comes in contact with a peripheral surface of a lever pin at a lower side than the center of the lever pin.
