Provided is an object producing method including a powder layer forming step of forming a layer of a powder containing sinterable particles, an object forming liquid applying step of applying an object forming liquid to the layer of the powder to form an object forming region, and a sintering inhibiting liquid applying step of applying a sintering inhibiting liquid to the layer of the powder to form a sintering inhibited region in which sintering of the particles is inhibited, and includes a layer laminating step of sequentially repeating these steps to form a laminate. The object forming region and the sintering inhibited region adjoin each other. The sintering inhibiting liquid contains a first resin. The sintering inhibited region contains the first resin or a second resin derived from the first resin. A predicted amount of a residue calculated by a predetermined method is 800 ppm or greater.

A three-dimensional fabricating apparatus includes a fabrication chamber, a supply chamber, a flattening unit, and a controller. In the fabrication chamber, powder is layered to form a powder layer and bonded together in a desired shape to form a layered fabrication object. The supply chamber stores the powder. The flattening unit is reciprocally movable above the supply chamber and the fabrication chamber, to transfer the powder and flatten the powder in the fabrication chamber to form the powder layer. The controller is configured to control the flattening unit to move in a first direction to transfer and supply the powder from the supply chamber to the fabrication chamber. The controller is configured to control the flattening unit to move in a second direction opposite the first direction to form the powder layer and transfer an unused portion of the powder from the fabrication chamber to the supply chamber.

Apparatus for fabricating three-dimensional object

A method is provided of fabricating a three-dimensional object by laminating layered fabrication objects. Each layered fabrication object includes bonded powder of a powder layer. The method includes forming a sacrificial fabrication object separable from the three-dimensional object via the powder below a fabrication area of a layered fabrication object having a lower surface in contact with the powder, in forming the lower surface in contact with the powder.
