A torsional vibration damper is provided that is capable of increasing torsional rigidity without increasing a size of an elastic member in a radial direction. A torsional vibration damper includes a boss member and a disk plate provided coaxially with each other; an elastic member being elastically deformable in a rotation direction of the boss member; a cam member rotating integrally with the boss member; a torque transmission member transmitting rotation torque between the boss member and the disk plate; and a socket member provided between the torque transmission member and the elastic member and having a contact surface coming in contact with the torque transmission member. The torque transmission member is capable of entirely reciprocating in a radial direction of the boss member in accordance with rotation of the cam member, and elastically compresses the elastic member when it moves outward in the radial direction of the boss member.

Torsional vibration damper

The torsional shock absorbing apparatus includes a boss, a cam member provided on the boss to be integrally rotated with the boss and having a cam surface formed in an oval shape, and an arm member disposed between the cam member and a coil spring to transmit the rotation torque of the disc plates to the boss. The arm member has one end portion held in contact with the cam surface and the other end portion held in engagement with circumferential one end portion of the coil spring, and is swingable around the center of a pin provided on the disc plates.

Torsional shock absorbing apparatus

The torsion angle between a first rotation member and a second rotation member can be increased to lower the rigidity of a resilient member, thereby enhancing the attenuation property of torsional vibration. The torsional vibration damping apparatuscomprises a pair of disc plateshaving the rotation torque from an internal combustion engine transmitted thereto, input gearsrotatably supported on the disc plates, an output gearprovided to be relatively rotatable with respect to the disc platesand held in mesh with the input gears, a boss membersplined to an input shaftof a power transmission train, and a coil springhaving one end portion fastened to the input gearand the other end portion fastened to the input gear. The input gearhas a crank memberradially spaced apart from a gear pinof the input gearto support one end portion of the coil spring, while the input gearhas a crank memberradially spaced apart from a gear pinof the input gearto support the other end portion of the coil spring

Torsional vibration damping apparatus

This apparatus is provided with a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanismis interposed between an engineand a transmission, and is coupled to a clutch pedal. An operating mode of the clutch mechanismchanges in conjunction with a change of an operating position of the clutch pedal. In the case that an execution condition is met, the apparatus lowers a maximum operating speed of the clutch mechanismin comparison with a state in which an execution condition is not met. The execution condition includes the following execution start condition that 'the operating position of the clutch pedalis a position setting the clutch mechanismto a disengaged state, and a changing speed of the operating position of the clutch pedalin an engaging direction at a time of setting the clutch mechanismto an engaged state from the disengaged state is equal to or higher than a predetermined starting speed'.
