A power storage device includes a lower case having a bottom portion including an inner surface and an outer surface, one or more power storage modules thermally connected to the inner surface of the bottom portion, and a cooler that is provided on a side of the outer surface of the bottom portion and cools the one or more power storage modules via the bottom portion. The cooler is made of a member having a rigidity lower than that of the lower case. The cooler includes a force exerting portion that exerts a force toward the bottom portion.

The power storage device includes a plurality of power storage stacks, a case, and a protective structure that protects a plurality of power storage cells from a load applied to the case in the vertical direction. The case has a bottom wall, a top wall, and a circumferential wall. The protective structure has a cross member, and a load transfer member located on the cross member. The load transfer member has at least one contact portion that is compressible and deformable in an orthogonal direction, and contacts a pair of power storage stacks adjacent to each other in the orthogonal direction when being in a compressed state.

In the pressurization process, the load applied to a pressurizer changes while sequentially undergoing a curvilinear increase period in which the load increases in a curved line as the compression amount of the adhesive increases, and a rapid increase period in which the load increases in a polygonal line with respect to the trajectory of the load in the curvilinear increase period as the compression amount increases. During pressurization by the pressurizer, the load is detected by a load sensor, the rapid increase period is detected based on the detection value of the load sensor, and the pressurization is stopped during the rapid increase period.
