An impact transmitting structure includes: a first member provided at an end portion of a first car; and a second member provided at an end portion of a second car. One of the first member and the second member is a convex member. The other of the first member and the second member is a concave member. An opposing surface of the convex member which surface is located close to the concave member has a substantially V shape that is convex in a direction toward the concave member. An opposing surface of the concave member which surface is located close to the convex member has a substantially V shape that is concave in a direction away from the convex member. A tip end angle of the convex member is smaller than an opening angle of the concave member.

Impact transmitting structure configured to transmit impact to impact absorbing device of railcar

A carbody of a railcar includes an underframe, a side bodyshell, and a roof bodyshell. At least one of the underframe, the side bodyshell, and the roof bodyshell includes: an outer plate portion facing a car outside; and a reinforced portion joined to an inside surface of the outer plate portion and forming at least one internal space between the reinforced portion and the outer plate portion. At least one sound absorbing hole communicating with the internal space is formed on the outer plate portion.

Carbody of railcar

A carbody of a railcar includes: an underframe; a first member provided at one of vertical sides of a vertical center of the underframe, supported by the underframe, and absorbing collision energy; a second member provided at the other vertical side of the vertical center of the underframe, supported by the underframe, and contacting an obstacle when the first member is compressed by collision with the obstacle. In a case where the second member receives a reaction force from the obstacle when the first member is compressed by the collision with the obstacle, the second member transfers to the underframe a moment load that is opposite in a rotational direction to a moment load transferred to the underframe by the first member.

A collision energy absorbing device of a railcar includes: at least one outside plate constituting an outer tube having an axis extending in a car longitudinal direction; and at least one partition plate extending in the car longitudinal direction in an internal space surrounded by the at least one outside plate, the at least one partition plate fixed to the at least one outside plate and dividing the internal space. An end portion of the partition plate which portion is located at an end in a direction perpendicular to the axis is sandwiched by the at least one outside plate and constitutes a part of the outer tube.

An attaching metal fitting is used to attach an underfloor device to an underframe of a railcar including a beam member and includes: a first member located at a lower side of a projecting portion projecting in a horizontal direction at a lower end portion of the beam member and formed integrally with or separately from the beam member; and a second member located at an upper side of the projecting portion, wherein: the first member includes a first supporting portion overlapping the projecting portion from below to be fixed to the projecting portion; the second member includes a second supporting portion overlapping the projecting portion from above to be fixed to the projecting portion; and an upper surface of the second supporting portion supports the underfloor device with the projecting portion sandwiched between the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion.

A collision energy absorbing device of a railcar includes: an outside plate constituting an outer tube including an axis extending in a car longitudinal direction; and at least one partition plate extending in the car longitudinal direction in an internal space surrounded by the outside plate, the at least one partition plate fixed to the outside plate and dividing the internal space. An outer shape of the outer tube is a shape that is symmetrical with respect to a virtual horizontal surface including the axis, and the at least one partition plate includes a missing portion in the internal space.

A railcar head structure includes: a roof bodyshell positioned above a driver's cab window; and an underframe. The underframe includes: a pair of side sills; and a center sill located between the side sills and extending in a car longitudinal direction. A collision post is erected on a tip end of the center sill. A pillar is provided at the driver's cab window and extends so as to divide the driver's cab window. The pillar includes one end joined to the collision post and the other end joined to the roof bodyshell and couples the roof bodyshell and the collision post to each other.

Railcar head structure

A railcar collision energy absorbing device includes: an energy absorbing element crushed in collision; and a casing extending in a car longitudinal direction so as to accommodate the energy absorbing element. One end of the casing is supported by a main structure of a railcar. The casing is constituted by a plurality of tubular bodies whose overlapping portions are coupled to each other. The casing telescopically contracts in the collision by breaking of a coupling portion between the tubular bodies.
