A wide angle optical lens, an optical lens unit, and an imaging device are small-sized and can secure an attachment space even when space is limited, and can avoid adhesion peeling or the extrusion of an adhesive. Optical lens () has a lens frame receiving surface () on the side of first optical surface (S) having a smaller optical surface diameter than second optical surface (S), and is further provided with an adhesion space forming surface () on the surrounding side of the lens frame receiving surface (). Therefore, it is possible to suppress adhesion peeling even when a smaller size is requested. Furthermore, by securing a larger size for lens frame receiving surface (), it is possible to suppress leakage or extrusion of adhesive from lens frame receiving surface () and thus adherence to first optical surface (S).

The optical element is a long optical element obtained by detaching a long main body part connected to a runner part via a gate part including an optical part from the gate part and chipping the detached main body, the optical part including at least a first optical surface to allow light to pass there through or to reflect light. The first optical surface has a curved surface that is curved on the short direction at least at the longitudinal end, while the first edge of the first optical surface side on the end surface of gate part side in the main body part is curved according to the curved surface example of the first optical surface. The boundary surface between the main body part and the gate part is formed so as to be narrower than the end surface of the gate part side of the main body part. An optical element has a first surface, a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, an optical surface, and a protruding part. The protruding part is held in a prescribed position by being in contact with a holding member. The protruding part comprises a first protruding part and a second protruding part. The first protruding part comprises a first contact part that is a convex circular arc shape on at least one longitudinal plane and partly comes into contact with the holding member. The second protruding part comprises a second contact part that is a convex circular arc shape on at least one longitudinal plane and partly comes into contact with the holding member. A circular arc constitutes the first contact part and a circular arc that constitutes the second contact part are present in at least one cross-section that passes through a contact point between the first contact part and the holding member as well as a contact point between the second contact part and the holding member, and the center of the circular arc that constitutes the first contact part is aligned with the center of the circular arc that constitutes the second protruding part.

The reflecting optical element is characterized by having a long, tabular substrate (), a mirror surface section () positioned on one surface of the substrate (), and a hollow portion () positioned within the interior of the substrate (), and is also characterized in that, as a result of configuring so that the hollow portion () is longer than the mirror surface section (), warping and sink marks which form due to contraction during resin hardening are mitigated across the entire mirror surface section (), and in that the entire mirror surface section () protrudes above the surface of the substrate (), thereby suppressing the increase in resistance to mold release that occurs when a metallic mold is gripped by the molding during resin contraction, and preventing distortion of the mirror surface section () that is caused by resistance to mold release.

An injection molding comprises: a fixed mold; a movable mold which is capable of contacting to and separating from the fixed mold; and an injection unit which supplies molten resin to a space formed between the fixed mold and the movable mold when being pressed to a non-molding face of the fixed mold. The injection unit comprises: a nozzle portion which injects molten resin to the space formed between the molds; an injecting portion which applies molten resin pressure toward the space formed between the fixed mold and the movable mold though the nozzle portion; a heater and a temperature sensor provided on the nozzle portion; and a heater and a temperature sensor provided on the injecting portion, and detection accuracy of the sensor of the nozzle portion is higher than that of the injecting potion. There is thus provided an injection molding machine capable of manufacturing optics with high accuracy without considerable cost-up by realizing stable and highly accurate injection.

An optical element manufacturing apparatus is provided with a fixed side metal moldattached to a fixed platen, and a movable side metal moldattached to a movable platen. The fixed side metal moldand the movable side metal moldare clamped by bringing both platensandclose to each other. In the clamped status, a molding material is injected into a molding cavity between the both metal molds and an optical element is produced. A taper recessed sectionand a taper protruding section, provided on the fixed side metal moldand the movable side metal moldrespectively, fit each other. The movable side metal moldprovides a friction mechanism sectionwhich permits the metal mold to shift within a plane perpendicular to the clamping direction with respect to the movable platen.
