A housing for housing an electronic device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an upper case and a lower case which are formed so as to mate with each other, a gasket arranged between the upper case and the lower case, an elastically deformable cantilever which is formed on one of the upper case and the lower case and which has a hook, and an engagement portion formed on the other of the upper case and the lower case, wherein when an operation to mate the upper case and the lower case is performed, before the cantilever is completely engaged with the engagement portion, a gap between the upper case and the lower case is sealed by the gasket.

An optical connector for detachable coupling to a cage includes a case having a guide portion and a pull-tab movably attached to the case, wherein the pull-tab includes an arm made of an elastic material and configured to slide on the guide portion of the case to be elastically deformed upon the pull-tab being moved in a removal direction in which the optical connector is uncoupled from the cage, and wherein moving the pull-tab in the removal direction relative to the case against an elastic force applied by the arm causes the pull-tab to disable a lock that secures the case to the cage.

A ferrule includes a ferrule body having a first opening formed in a side face thereof, and having a second opening formed in a top face thereof, wherein the first opening is configured to receive an optical waveguide inserted into the ferrule body at the side face, and wherein the second opening is formed over and in communication with the first opening, such that the second opening connects an inner space of the first opening to an outside of the ferrule body.

An optical module for connecting a ferrule for connecting an optical fiber and a photoelectric transducer mounted on a substrate includes first lenses, second lenses, and a dummy lens. The first lenses are provided on a first side of the optical module to which the ferrule is to be connected. The second lenses and the dummy lens are provided on a second side of the optical module facing a surface of the substrate. The second lenses and the dummy lens are aligned on the same line. An image of the dummy lens is reflected from a mirror to be projected onto a plane on the first side of the optical module.

A pull part for coupling to a connector includes a latch configured to be coupled to a housing of the connector and a tab configured to be coupled to the latch, wherein the latch has two support parts, a beam, and connecting portions, the beam connecting the two support parts, the connecting portions being situated between the support parts and the beam, and the two support parts configured to be attached to the housing, wherein the tab includes a body and a handle, the body having connection grooves formed at one side thereof and having the handle at an opposite side thereof, and wherein the connecting portions situated between the support parts and the beam are inserted into the connection grooves so as to couple the latch and the tab to each other.

An optical module for connecting a photoelectric conversion device on a substrate to a ferrule connected to an optical fiber includes a body configured to be mounted on the substrate, a first lens disposed on the body at a side thereof connectable to the ferrule, a second lens disposed on the body at a side thereof facing the substrate, and a core disposed in the body between the first lens and the second lens, wherein a refractive index of the core is higher than a refractive index of the body.

Optical module

An optical connector includes an optical waveguide, a ferrule base including an attaching part to which the optical waveguide is bonded with an adhesive, and a ferrule cover attached to the ferrule base to cover the attaching part. The ferrule base further includes a preventing part that is formed on the attaching part and prevents leakage of the adhesive from the ferrule base.

An optical module includes a lens sheet having one or more lenses, a substrate having a photoelectric conversion device mounted on a first face thereof and having a first penetrating hole formed therethrough between the photoelectric conversion device and the one or more lenses, and an adhesive layer configured to bond a face of the lens sheet to a second face of the substrate, wherein the adhesive layer has a second penetrating hole formed therethrough between the one or more lenses and the photoelectric conversion device, and a pathway is provided to connect a space constituted by the first penetrating hole and the second penetrating hole to an outside of the space.

A removal unit includes a latch and a tab separably connectable to the latch. The latch includes latch arms each including a connection hole and an opening extending from the connection hole and being smaller than the connection hole. The tab includes a body, tab arms extending from the body, and protrusions provided on the tab arms to protrude toward each other. The protrusions each include a connecting part and an engaging part extending from the connecting part and being larger than the connection hole. The connecting part is provided on the tab arm, and configured to be placed into the connection hole. The connecting part has a width in a first direction smaller than the width of the opening and a length in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction smaller than the diameter of the connection hole and greater than the width of the opening.

An optical module for connecting photoelectric conversion device on a substrate to a ferrule connected to an optical fiber includes a body configured to be mounted on the substrate, a first lens disposed on the body at a side thereof connectable to the ferrule, a second lens disposed on the body at a side thereof facing the substrate, and a core disposed in the body between the first lens and the second lens, wherein a refractive index of the core is higher than a refractive index of the body.

An operation panel includes a first board, a second board, a load sensor provided between the first board and the second board, and a clip that holds together the first board and the second board. The load sensor detects the magnitude of a force applied to the first board.

An optical module includes a board; a photoelectric transducer disposed on the board; an optical waveguide that is connected to the board and transmits light entering or emitted from the photoelectric transducer; an optical connector including a first end connected to the optical waveguide and a second end to be connected to an optical cable; a housing that houses the board, the photoelectric transducer, the optical waveguide, and the optical connector; and a conductive part that is provided between the optical waveguide and the housing, in contact with the housing, and formed of an elastic conductive material or a radio absorbing material.

A connecting component configured to fix a first ferrule and a second ferrule includes a first spring, a second spring, and a partition. The first spring and the second spring are provided at opposite ends of the connecting component. The partition is provided between the first spring and the second spring to be positioned between the first ferrule and the second ferrule. The first spring is configured to press the first ferrule toward the partition. The second spring is configured to press the second ferrule toward the partition.
