Disclosed is a novel anti-reflective film used for reducing the adverse influences of stray light within an optical instrument such as photographic cameras by attaching onto the inner walls of the instrument. The anti-reflective film consists of a substrate film of a synthetic resin and an anti-reflective coating layer formed on one surface of the substrate film by coating with a coating composition comprising (a) a synthetic resin as a binder to form the matrix phase of the coating layer, (b) particles of a synthetic resin having an average particle diameter in the range from 15 to 50 .mu.m dispersed in the matrix phase, and (c) particles of carbon having an average particle diameter not exceeding 2 .mu.m dispersed in the matrix phase.

A matted film is disclosed which includes a synthetic resin film, and a mat layer provided over at least one surface of the film and containing a matting agent which is a mixture of 50-95% by weight of an organic filler having an average particle size of 10 .mu.m or less and 5-50% by weight of an inorganic filler having an average particle size of 10 .mu.m and selected from sericite, calcined sericite, kaolin minerals, calcined kaolin minerals, pyrophyllite, calcined pyrophyllite and mixtures thereof.

Matted film containing a matting agent consisting of an organic filler

A composite film is disclosed which includes (a) a synthetic resin substrate film having a roughened surface, and (b) a thin, slippery, electrically conducting layer coated over the roughened surface. The conducting layer contains 2-10% by weight of carbon black, 10-40% by weight of a fluorine resin, 25-78% by weight of a hardened binder resin selected from hardened amino resins, hardened phenol resins and mixtures thereof, and 7-25% by weight of a modifying resin selected from polyurethane resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins and mixtures thereof, the total amount of the hardened binder resin and the modifying resin being 50-85% by weight.

Composite film having slippery, electrically conducting surface

A chemical mat film having good writability and printability is disclosed which includes a transparent film, a chemical mat layer provided on one or both sides of the transparent film and containing finely divided solid particles which provide surface roughness, and an overcoat layer formed of a polymeric material and provided over the surface of the chemical mat layer, the overcoat layer having a surface roughness which is substantially coincident with that of the chemical mat layer. The chemical mat film may be used as a substrate of a photosensitive film for supporting a photosensitive layer thereon.
