A process for analyzing a sample by a capillary electrophoresis method is provided that allows for high analytic precision and reduction in apparatus size, and can be readily carried out by electrophoresing a complex of a sample and an anionic group-containing compound in the capillary channel, wherein the capillary channel includes an A layer that is coated on an inner wall thereof and a B layer that is coated on the A layer, where the A and B layers are as described.

Process for analyzing sample by capillary electrophoresis method

A process for analyzing a sample by a capillary electrophoresis method is provided that allows the apparatus to be reduced in size, allows a high analytical precision to be obtained, and can be carried out easily. The analytical process of the present invention is a process for analyzing a sample by a capillary electrophoresis method. The analytical process includes preparing a capillary tube to be used for the capillary electrophoresis method, and performing electrophoretic separation of a complex of a sample and an anionic group-containing compound that are bonded together, in the capillary tube, wherein the capillary tube includes an anionic layer that is formed of the anionic group-containing compound and that is coated on the inner wall of the capillary tube, and the anionic layer is fixed to the inner wall of the capillary tube by a covalent bond.

The present invention fundamentally differs from conventional methods in which an external force is directly applied to a surface of an article to be modified, and relates to a method of hydrophobilization (increasing a contact angle of water) which comprises bringing a hydrophobilization substance (a substance for increasing a contact angle of water) released from a material of another location into contact with a surface of an article, especially an article surface being hydrophilic (having a small contact angle of water) in its initial state without applying an external force on the article surface, further a method of control being capable of noncontact switching of a contact angle of water, which comprises conducting hydrophilization of an article surface subjected to hydrophobilization by the above-mentioned method in a noncontact manner and repeating these hydrophobilization and hydrophilization, and a method of pattern formation using the mentioned methods. According to those methods, hydrophobilization and hydrophilization can be carried out in the noncontact manner, and by selecting a material, degrees of hydrophobilization and hydrophilization can be adjusted.

Method of controlling contact angle of water

An object of the present invention is to provide an electrode and a field effect transistor having excellent ion selectivity using a noncyclic peptide. In order to achieve the above object, the ion sensor of the present invention using a noncyclic peptide is an ion sensor where a noncyclic peptide is contained in a sensing membrane. The said noncyclic peptide may contain at least two kinds of natural amino acids or non-natural amino acids. The ion sensor of the present invention may be constituted by an ion-selective electrode or by an ion-selective field effect transistor. Examples of the main responding ion are magnesium ion, lead ion, potassium ion, calcium ion, nickel ion, copper ion, zinc ion and cadmium ion.
