An intraluminal endoscope inserting method according to the present invention is a method of forming a first opening in a wall of a first luminal organ while observing optical and ultrasonic images formed by an ultrasonic endoscope inserted into a first luminal organ through a natural opening, forming a second opening in a wall of a desired second luminal organ adjacent to the first luminal organ through an abdominal cavity space from the first opening, leading the ultrasonic endoscope into a second luminal organ from a second opening and performing observation and treatment, and after the treatment and the like, stitching the openings. This makes it possible to insert the endoscope with a skill same as that required for a normal endoscope test and makes it easy to insert the endoscope even into luminal organs irregularly connected to with one another in a body cavity.

A treatment instrument for endoscope of the present invention includes a puncture needle having a barb. A lymph node removing method of the present invention includes: an insertion step, wherein an endoscope has an insertable insertion portion which is inserted into an esophagus or a trachea being a lumen inside the body of a subject; the step of inserting a distal end portion arranged at the tip of the insertion portion of the endoscope into the lumen; a confirmation step of confirming the position of a mediastinal lymph node by performing ultrasound scanning using an ultrasound transducer arranged at the distal end portion; an anchoring step of placing an anchoring device which has been inserted through a channel inside the insertion portion of the endoscope, on the mediastinal lymph node by performing the ultrasound scanning; a incision step of cutting a wall of the lumen to make a fistula; and a drawing-in step of drawing the mediastinal lymph node into the lumen with the anchoring device.

An ultrasonic probe for microscopic operations in accordance with the present invention consists mainly of an ultrasonic probe body, an elongated tubular member, and a bent handle member. The ultrasonic probe body has a transducer assembly attached to the distal end of a soft elongated tube that is extended from a connector to be coupled to an ultrasonic observation apparatus, and has a coupler mounted on the tube thereof. The transducer assembly and tube are passed through the elongated tubular member. The handle member is attached to the proximal end of the tubular member and includes a coupling mechanism for use in coupling the coupler to the handle member so that the coupler can be uncoupled freely.
