The waterproof connector includes: a terminal having an electric wire; a housing body having a terminal insertion opening for inserting the terminal and a terminal receiving chamber for receiving the terminal; a waterproofing means having an electric wire insertion hole that is approximately coaxial with the terminal insertion opening of the housing body; and a rear holder which holds the waterproofing means and has a guide tube for guiding the terminal that is to be inserted into the terminal insertion opening, wherein a center axis of the guide tube is deviated from a center axis of the terminal insertion opening.

Waterproof connector

Connector

A terminal with a locking member capable of surely preventing damage of the locking member even in case the terminal inserted and locked in a connector housing is pulled reversely. An electric contact portion of the terminal has a cantilever-like locking member and protection walls for the locking member thereby to engage the locking member with a locking step of the connector housing, and further engaging-arm portions are provided on the locking member and arm-engaged portions engaging with the engaging-arm portions are also provided on the protection walls. Projections may be provided on free end portions of the engaging-arm portions. Further, as another type of locking member, extending walls each having an abutting edge, which abuts against the locking step when the terminal is pulled reversely, may be provided on a locking member. Different type of engaging-arm portions and engaging openings relative to the engaging-arm portions may be formed on the extending walls and on the protection walls, respectively. A reinforcing piece may be provided over the locking member to reinforce it. Thus, a terminal with a locking member capable of surely preventing damage of the locking member on being pulled reversely can be realized.

Terminal

A double locking member for a connector which will not be inadvertently unlocked by an external force and which upon repeated engagement and disengagement thereof, the locking members are not damaged. The double locking member is inserted into inserting holes (4) formed in a side board (3) of a housing (2) and the side walls (23) of terminal accommodating chambers, and includes flexible arms (13) having locking protrusions (12) which are formed by cuts (11) in the rear end portions thereof, and terminal supporting pieces (14) which have a hook (15) at their ends which is abutted against the side board (3) of the housing (2). Recesses (5) are formed around the inserting holes (4) formed in the side boards (3) of the housing (2), a locking rib (6) is protruded from the recess (5), and a locking hole (16) which is locked to the locking rib (6) is formed in the hook (15).

Double locking member for a connector

In the terminal locking structure, a free end of a flexible terminal is engaged with an engagement portion in a connector housing to thereby lock a terminal at a predetermined position in the connector housing. A short protection piece extends along an inclined surface of the terminal lance so as to protect a root portion of the terminal lance bent from a rear end of a box ceiling plate which abuts on an upper side of a plate piece from which the terminal lance is bent.

Terminal locking structure

A retaining structure for a flexible O-ring which is used for sealing a gap between an electrical device and an electrical connector to be mounted directly on an electrical device, comprises a pressing projection provided on an inner peripheral wall of an O-ring-receiving groove for a connector housing, and a notch portion provided for an outer peripheral wall of the O-ring-receiving groove on the opposite side of the pressing projection, wherein an O-ring inserted into the O-ring-receiving groove is held by engagements by contacting portions defined by a pointed end of the pressing projection and oppositely disposed contacting portions P.sub.1 and P.sub.2 on an outer peripheral wall.

Retaining structure of O-ring

A female connector for engagement with a male connector housing is provided. The female connector includes a female connector housing and a lever. The connector housing has a pair of axle parts formed to project from sidewalls. The lever is provided with a pair of bearing bores into which the axle parts are to be inserted. At a leading end of each axle part, a push projection is formed to extend perpendicular to the axle parts. Each bearing bore is provided with an insertion notch for allowing the push projection to pass. The insertion notch is positioned such that the push projection touches a solid part of the lever at its rotational beginning and end positions that the lever can occupy. Further, the insertion notch is also positioned such that the push projection passes above the insertion notch on the lever's rotational path to the end position. By this arrangement, the lever can be prevented from slipping out of the axle parts of the female connector housing.

Lever action-type female connector

A connector for an electric vehicle in which a bus bar connecting portion of a terminal is secured and connected, in parallel, to a plate-like bus bar arranged in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. In the connector, a connector housing has a terminal accommodating chamber in the form of a substantially cylindrical space, and a rotation-preventing face is provided on the inner wall of the terminal accommodating chamber to radially and inwardly protrude from the inner wall. A body portion of the terminal is formed into a rod to be fitted into the terminal accommodating chamber. The bus bar connecting portion in the form of a plate, with a width equal to an outer diameter of the body portion, is extended from the rear end of the body portion. Two slants are formed on the body portion by partially removing the body portion along two planes intersecting perpendicularly to each other. The slants selectively abut against the rotation-preventing face when the terminal is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber.

Connector for an electric vehicle

A connecting structure in which a male connector can be fitted into a female connector by operating a joint lever is provided. The joint lever is rotatably attached to either the male connector or the female connector. The connecting structure further includes projections to be inserted into the guide grooves and a fit detecting member for detecting the fitting condition between the male connector and the female connector. In fitting the male connector into the female connector, the fit detecting member is released from its engaged condition in the temporary engagement position by rotation of the joint lever. In the case where the fit detecting member is engaged in the formal engagement position, the fit detecting member operates to prevent the joint lever from being rotated.

Lever-joint type connecting structure

An electrical connector in which bolts can not be fastened due to the objection of a rear holder unless terminals are fully inserted into terminal accommodating cavities in a connector housing. The electrical connector according to the present invention comprises: a connector housing having terminal accommodating cavities and brackets with mounting holes; and a rear holder inserted into the connector housing, the rear holder having arms for preventing terminals, which are accommodated in the terminal accommodating cavities, from being slipped off such that an end of the arm abuts a rear portion of the terminal, the rear holder further having bolt holes which overlap the mounting holes of the brackets of the housing in a fully locked state of the rear holder to the connector housing.
