An infrared cut-off layer containing an ITO powder is formed on one surface of a base film, to form an infrared cut-off film. The ITO powder has a minimum value of a diffused-reflection-functional logarithm, logf(R ), at a light wavelength of 470 nm or lower, which logarithm is measured on the basis of the following equation, f(R )&equals;(1&minus;R ) /2R &equals;&agr;/S (R : a relative reflectance to a standard sample, &agr;: an absorption coefficient, S: a scattering coefficient, formulated for a diffused reflection light, and the minimum value of &minus;0.1 or less. There is provided an infrared cut-off film having a hue of blue and sufficient transparency.

Infrared cutoff film

The present invention provides an infrared ray blocking transparent film which can be produced at low cost despite using indium tin oxide powder (which can inhibit metallic luster) and which can exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave transmissivity. An infrared ray blocking layer is provided on at least a surface of a base film, and the infrared ray blocking layer includes indium tin oxide powder and resin in a weight ratio of 90/10 to 60/40.

Infrared-blocking transparent film

An infrared ray blocking transparent film which can be very thin and have greater transparency and higher adhesion than that of conventional films; the cost for forming the film can be lower due to the reduced amounts of forming materials used for the infrared ray blocking layer, is disclosed. An infrared ray blocking layer is provided on a surface of a base film, by coating conductive materials including indium tin oxide powder and resin; a hard coat layer is provided on a surface of the infrared ray blocking layer; an adhesive layer is provided on a rear surface of the base film. Since resin employed in the infrared ray blocking layer is UV-curing resin including photo-cationic polymerization initiator, thickness of the layer is reduced, and transparency and adhesion thereof are improved.

An antiglare material capable of exhibiting an excellent antiglare effect by preventing imaging reflection of an external light source and suitable for an image display with sharpness and high resolution as well as a polarizing film by utilizing the same. The antiglare material of the invention is a transparent substrate of which at least one of the surfaces is roughened to a predetermined surface roughness. The polarizing film of the invention is a laminate consisting of a first protective layer which is the above defined antiglare material and a second protective layer laminated onto the unroughened surface of the first protective layer with intervention of a polarizing substrate. The roughened surface of the transparent substrate in the above mentioned antiglare material, which may be used in the above described polarizing film, preferably has a haze value in the range from 1 to 25 according to JIS K7105 and the transparent substrate is preferably a transparent film.

A semi-transmissive semi-reflective film laminate consisting of a semi-transmissive semi-reflective layer and a film, the semi-transmissive semi-reflective layer being set on the film, characterized in that the semi-transmissive semi-reflective layer contains pearl pigment and a light transmissive resin, the average of the angles of orientation of the pearl pigments being less than 30.degree., the film is a film selected from the group consisting of a support body having a vacant space internally and a polarizing film.
