To permit a customer to reduce environmental load without reducing their electric power, a green power supply system is provided which includes a power supply request acceptance part which accepts from a customer a request to supply power having small environmental loads to the customer, a storage-of-power-supply-content requesting part which stores the state of power supply from each power generation facility, a green degree calculating part which determines the proportion of power which is supplied from the power generation facility having the small environmental loads, in power supplied to the customer, and a customer-directed green-degree notification part which notifies the customer of the degree of environmental load.

An air-cooled information processing apparatus has a plurality of units and a casing accommodating the units. At least one cooling air supply section and at least one cooling air discharge section are provided in the casing, for supplying cooling air into the apparatus and for discharging the air therefrom. A partition member divides the space inside the casing so as to define at least two cooling air flow channels between the cooling air supply section and the cooling air discharge section. At least one main fan unit is disposed in each of the cooling air flow channels. The cooling air flow channels include at least one first cooling air flow channel in which at least two units from among the plurality of units are disposed in parallel with each other with respect to the direction of flow of cooling air, and at least one second cooling air flow channel in which at least two units from among the plurality of units are arranged in series to each other along the flow of cooling air. This cooling arrangement ensures optimum cooling for different types of units in the apparatus, without being accompanied by rise in the noise level, rate of discharge of air, power consumption and production cost.

An active noise control system for a three-dimensional space, including noise detecting means, sound generating means, noise control effect detecting means and a control device consisting of a phase of a wave signal fed from the noise detecting means wherein a plurality of noise control effect detecting means and sound generating means are disposed at a distance shorter than a wavelength of the noise to be controlled, and input signals of the respective sound generating means and output signals of the respective noise control effect detecting means are fed through filters, separately, to control the sound for active noise control. In case of an air conditioner, the noise control effect detecting means are disposed at positions where an air stream flowing through the air conditioner is not obstructed thereby.

Active noise control apparatus for three-dimensional space

A nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus in accordance with the present invention includes ferro-magnetic field generation means and gradient field generation means and fixes the gradient field generation means at a predetermined position inside a cylindrical space by a support member. An elastic member is interposed between the support member and the gradient field generation means, and means for improving rigidity of the gradient field generation means, such as another support member and a fastening jig of the gradient field generation means, is disposed and fixed to the elastic member described above. An acoustical absorbing material including a plurality of porous sheets and a plurality of high density sheets alternately superposed one over another and held together with contact with one another. At least one of the high density sheets is formed therein with one or more through-holes. The acoustical absorbing material of the above-mentioned construction exhibits a good acoustical absorption performance in a wide frequency range even if its thickness is not varied, and is effective in shutting off noises produced by electronic equipment, such as a computer.
