A treatment planning system that generates treatment planning for irradiating a target with a particle beam, includes an arithmetic processing device that sets at least two or more irradiation patterns for one treatment planning, calculates a plurality of predicted dose distributions for each irradiation pattern based on a target dose set for each region for at least one region including a region of the target, and calculates an index for evaluating validity of the irradiation pattern based on the plurality of predicted dose distributions.

This radiotherapy device comprises: an X-ray irradiation device and an X-ray camera for detecting the position of a specific landmark present in an irradiation target; a storage unit which, with one from among a plurality of time-lapse three-dimensional CT images including the landmark and obtained beforehand during treatment planning used as a reference images, stores the relationship between the displacement of the landmark position from that in the reference image to that in another three-dimensional CT image, and the deformation of each of the sites in the other CT image, obtained by analysis thereof; and an image processing unit, a deformation amount evaluation unit, and a display unit, that estimate the deformation of each of the sites and reproduce the estimated three-dimensional CT image, according to the position of the landmark detected and the relationship stored by the storage unit.

Particle therapy system

A template matching is performed on two fluoroscopic images by using a template image prepared in advance and a position corresponding to a high matching score is listed as a candidate for the position of a marker. From two lists of the candidates of the position of the marker, the lengths of common vertical lines for all combinations are calculated. Then, the position of the markeris detected based on the matching score and the common vertical line. Then, based on the detected position of the marker, an amount of a proton beam to be irradiated to a target is controlled. Therefore, a tracking target can be accurately detected even when the conditions for X-ray fluoroscopy is severe, e.g., a thick object.

The moving body tracking control apparatusA creates a simulated fluoroscopic image from the CT image including the target, creates a two-dimensional region including the targetfrom the simulated fluoroscopic image as a template, matches each of at least two fluoroscopic images with the template, and obtains a three-dimensional position of the targetfrom a plurality of matching results.

Moving body tracking apparatus, radiation therapy system including the same, program, and moving body tracking method

First ions and second ions that are heavier than first ions are generated in an ion source. One kind of ions of the first ions and second ions is injected into an accelerator by action of a switching magnet and accelerated in the accelerator. An ion beam including the one kind of ions is extracted from the accelerator to a beam transport system and a tumor volume of a patient is irradiated with the ion beam from an irradiation nozzle. In the irradiation of the ion beam, a tumor volume depth and the largest underwater range of each ion species are compared, and an ion species in which the tumor volume depth becomes the longest underwater range or lower is injected into the accelerator, and accelerated by the accelerator. The tumor volume is irradiated with the ion species.

Charged particle beam system

A radiotherapy system acquires an image which is necessary for positioning of a patient for radiation treatment and enables grasping of a positional relationship of a target in a treatment radiation irradiated state, a radiation passing area and a critical organ. An X-ray imaging device is attached to the rotatable support device and configured to apply X-rays to the subject from plural directions while rotating around the subject to perform X-ray imaging. A target recognizing device recognizes a three-dimensional position of the target in the subject from X-ray images acquired by the X-ray imaging device; and CT image generating devices are configured to select, from the X-ray images acquired by the X-ray imaging device, the images in which the position of the target recognized by the recognizing device satisfies the treatment radiation irradiation condition for the motion tracking treatment to perform image reconstruction and generate a cone beam CT image.

Radiotherapy system

A radiotherapy control apparatus includes a fluoroscopic image acquisition unit to acquire fluoroscopic images of markers in a patient from a single fluoroscopic imaging device, a projection line calculation unit to identify projected positions of the markers on the fluoroscopic image and calculate equations of projection lines linking these projected positions and a focus position of the imaging device, an inter-marker distance acquisition unit to acquire a distance between each pair of the markers, a marker position calculation unit to calculate current positions of the markers based on the equations and the distances, and a therapeutic radiation emission determination unit to determine whether to emit therapeutic radiation based on the current positions of the markers.

Radiotherapy control apparatus and radiotherapy control program

The present invention provides a particle therapy system including an irradiation compensating device made up of an energy absorber, a first collimator, and a second collimator for use in a short-range region. The irradiation compensating device is characterized by a mechanism for attaching and detaching the first energy absorber, first collimator, and second collimator. The first collimator is located upstream where the beam diameter is small with a view to suppressing the width of the compensating device, thereby contributing to making the compensating device small and lightweight. The second collimator is located downstream to improve penumbrae.
