A method of manufacturing a radome, which is provided on a detection side of a radar for detecting an obstacle in a vicinity of a vehicle, includes a first forming step of forming a transparent member that includes a recess on one surface thereof; an first installing step of installing a bright member, which has a shape corresponding to a space in the recess and of which a contact surface coming into contact with an inner surface of the recess has brilliance, in the recess; and a second installing step of installing a base member that covers the one surface and integrally holds the transparent member and the bright member.

Method of manufacturing radome

A window for automobiles or the like, including a frame member which is composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin material and formed integrally with a window plate. The frame member includes a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional portion formed of lip and web sections which are spaced from and opposed to each other on outer and rear surfaces of the window plate, respectively, and connected with each other by a bridge section having a continuous hollow inner space therein. The frame member is formed by injecting into a mold cavity a relatively small amount, as compared with the volume of the mold cavity, of molten thermoplastic synthetic resin material, and by injecting compressed gas into the resin material to urge the resin material against inner surfaces of the mold defining the cavity.

Windows for automobiles and the like

A synthetic resin window, e.g. for automotive vehicles, includes a window body member in the form of a sheet of transparent or semi-transparent synthetic resin, a hard coated layer covering and fusion-bonded to at the outer surface of the window body member, a frame member of a synthetic resin formed integrally with the body member to extend along a peripheral edge thereof, and connection between the frame member and the outer surface of the window body member. The connection may include a core element which is integrally connected to the window body member in a form-locking manner from outer and inner sides thereof, and at least partly embedded in said frame member. Alternatively, the connection may include bare surfaces of the synthetic resin forming the window body member, which are not covered by the hard coated layer and which are directly adhered to the frame member by an adhesive agent.

Synthetic resin window for automotive vehicles or the like

A synthetic resin window, e.g. for automotive vehicles, includes a window body portion in the form of a sheet of transparent or semi-transparent synthetic resin, and a frame portion formed of the same resin as the body portion and molded integrally therewith to extend along peripheral edge of the body portion. The outer surfaces of the body portion and the frame portion are covered by a hard coated layer and an opaque coated layer, respectively. The frame portion has a profile greater in thickness than the window body portion, while a hollow inner space is formed in the frame portion to extend continuously in the longitudinal direction of the frame portion.
