A seat for vehicles including a seat cushion, a seat back, and a head rest has the following arrangement to ensure that a surface member can be relatively easily but positively removed from a urethane pad if a foam molding defect is found in the urethane pad in integral molding of the urethane pad and the surface member. In the seat for vehicles, any one of the seat cushion, seat back, and head rest has a configuration where a surface of the urethane pad is covered with the surface member. The urethane pad and the surface member are partially bonded together by integral molding.

A comfortable, well-designed vehicle seat () is provided by giving an outstanding, three-dimensional appearance to the surface layer of the vehicle seat so that a new design is achieved and that softness is improved. The vehicle seat has a seat cushion () serving as the sitting surface of the seat, a seatback () serving as the backrest of the seat, and a headrest () protecting the head and neck of an occupant. The surface of at least one of the seat cushion and the seatback is provided with a cover formed of a cloth including an upholstery material (), a cushion material (), and a heat-shrinkable material (). The cover is stitched so that a plurality of bumps and dips are formed on the surface thereof.

The present invention provides a vehicle seat with little fine creases on a concave portion of a seat surface even the use of natural leather such as a cowhide as a skin material for the vehicle seat. A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion making a seated portion of the seat; a seat back disposed at a back side of the seat cushion and making a backrest portion of the seat; and a cover formed of a cloth including a skin material, an adhesive material, and a cushion material at a concave portion on at least one surface among the seat cushion and the seat back. The cover is formed into a concave shape by heat presswork with a mold having a curved surface.
