A liquid crystal display device with a pair of substrates which are arranged to face each other with liquid crystal therebetween, columnar spacers having the substantially equal height formed on a liquid-crystal-side surface of one substrate, and the columnar spacers include the columnar spacer which is contact with a liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate and the columnar spacer which is not contact with the liquid-crystal-side surface of another substrate.

Liquid crystal display device

A display device includes a display panel, a protective plate which is provided opposed to the display panel, a member having touch sensor function, and a transparent organic layer which is provided between the display panel and the protective plate. The transparent organic layer includes an outer organic layer which is shaped like a frame to enclose at least a portion of an effective display area of the display panel, and an inner organic layer which is formed from the same material as the frame to fill a space enclosed by the frame. At least a part of the outer organic layer overlaps the effective display area of the display panel; and at least one of the display panel and the protective plate forms a portion of the member having touch sensor function.

Display device

Provided is a display device which is the liquid crystal display device () in which the transparent interlayer () is provided between the liquid crystal display panel () and the transparent substrate () having a touch panel function and disposed on a front side of the liquid crystal display panel (). In the liquid crystal display device (), the outermost periphery of the transparent interlayer () is shaped like a frame, and the same material is used to form a frame-shaped transparent interlayer () and the transparent interlayer () that constitutes an entire display area to prevent the liquid material of the interlayer () leaking out of the liquid crystal display device () during manufacture of a product or while the product is in use.

In a method of manufacturing a display having a display panel, a transparent protective plate, which is placed in front of the display panel, and a layer formed of a transparent organic medium, which is placed between the display panel and the protective plate, a liquid organic medium is applied to, or a sheet-like organic medium is formed on, a surface of one of the display panel and the protective plate, the display panel and the protective plate are bonded together in a reduced pressure atmosphere, and thereafter the liquid organic medium is cured.

Method of manufacturing a display

Bead spacers, which are disposed on at least one principal surface of a pair of substrates forming a liquid crystal display device, are bonded to the principal surface by an alignment film or an organic material film. Specifically, the bead spacers disposed on the principal surface are covered with the alignment film, or the bead spacers are bonded by the organic material film to the alignment film formed on the principal surface of the substrate.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display device is provided that includes a pair of substrates which are arranged to face each other with a liquid crystal therebetween, and columnar spacers that are substantially equal in height formed on a liquid-crystal-side surface of one of the pair of substrates, where the columnar spacers include a first columnar spacer which is in contact with a liquid-crystal-side surface of the other substrate of the pair of substrates and a second columnar spacer which is not contact with the liquid-crystal-side surface of that other substrate.
