A ski boot which can improve the insertion and removal of a skier's foot, provide an excellent fastening feeling by fastening members, enhance the durability of a connecting portion between a cover member and a shell main body, and eliminate the possibility of water leakage. A slit is formed in the upper portion of separated & overlapping portions of a shell main body separated right and left and extending from an upper opening to an instep area of the shell main body. The slit and separated & overlapping portions are covered with a cover member from the toe portion of the shell main body to the upper opening thereof. A plurality of fastening members are used to fasten a trunk portion to be inclinably mounted to the shell main body as well as fasten the separated & overlapping portions. The fastening members for fastening the separated & overlapping portions of the shell main body are mounted directly to the shell main body and the cover member is connected to the shell main body before and after the fore-most fastening member situated on the toe side among the fastening members mounted to the shell main body.

A fastening device 7 for fastening a skier's foot inserted in an outer shell 1 of a ski boot. A lock member 17 having an operation portion 16 and an engagement portion 15 is disposed in one of a clamping-lever 11 or the outer shell 1, and an engagement portion 20 is provided in the other. The engagement portion 15 of the lock member 17 can be resiliently moved by a biasing spring 18 into engagement with the engagement portion 20 to thereby secure and hold the clamping lever 11 at the clamping position thereof. This makes it sure to prevent the clamping lever from releasing its clamping force due to shocks given when the skier skis in a heavily bumpy slope.

The instant invention is directed to a ski boot having a holding device in which the force for fastening a front foot portion can be adjusted. The ski boot has a screw portion provided on an adjusting rod for adjusting the fastening force. The ski boot according to the present invention, further includes an adjusting member provided to the first end portion of the adjusting rod projected outward from the outer shell, for applying a fastening force to the foot holding member through the pressing members so as to press the inner foot and fasten a front foot portion, and for releasing the foot holding member from the fastening force through the pressing members by one-touch operation.

A ski boot having a boot body having a bottom surface and boot soles attached to the bottom surface of the boot body. The soles and boot bottom surface include attaching members for changing the attaching position of the soles with respect to the boot body in a foot-width direction. The repositioning of the sole with respect to the boot body is used for selectively altering the lateral position and/or longitudinal alignment and/or the cant orientation of the ski boot and skier's foot with respect to the ski board.

The present invention relates to ski boots which can keep appropriate forward tilt pressure, wherein when the boots are tilted forwardly an alastic section is pressed toward the toe side by a mating part which is formed in a front cuff, therefore this elastic restoring force of the elastic section can generate an appropriate elastic force.

The present invention relates to ski boots provided with a foot holding mechanism for pressing to fix the fore part of a foot instep, wherein when an adjusting bolt is turned externally to apply a tensile force to pressing bands, a rocking member is rocked in the axis direction of the pressing bands depending on various foot shapes, thereby applying almost equal tensile force to the pressing bands in a plural number so as to press the fore part of the foot instep evenly.

A ski boot fastening device according to the present invention is applied to a ski boot comprising an outer shell and an inner boot fitted in the outer shell. The ski boot fastening device comprises an outer shell, an inner boot fitted in the outer shell, an ankle tight-holding long member for contracting the upper portions of a front cuff and a rear cuff of the outer shell to hold tight the ankle portion of a skier inserted in the inner boot, an ankle clamp lever to which the ankle tight-holding long member is connected, an instep tight-holding long member for pressing and holding tight the instep portion of the skier against the outer shell, an instep clamp lever to which the instep tight-holding long member is connected, and tightening force adjust mechanisms respectively incorporated on the instep clamp lever and the ankle clamp lever to adjust respective tightening forces of the ankle tight-holding long member and the instep tight-holding long member, wherein the instep clamp lever and the ankle clamp lever are both turnably mounted on the rear cuff of the outer shell side by side.

A ski boot consisting of an outer shell and an innerboot installed inside the outer shell. The outer shell is formed out of thermoplastic synthetic resin material mixed with a desired weight ratio of whisker. Mixing of whisker not only increases the flexural elasticity of thermoplastic synthetic resin material but also reduces the elastic distortion of the outer shell. Further, the abrasion-resistance of the outer shell is improved.

A ski boot having an outer shell which contains a front cuff with opposed side portions, a rear cuff and with inner boot having an instep portion being fitted within the outer shell. First and second elongated continuous flexible members each having forward and rearward end portions are provided for maintaining the boot in snug relationship upon the users foot. The first end portions of said members are fixedly secured upon the boot and are then arranged in mutually crossing relationship across the foot of the wearer and with the rearward end portions of said members being engaged to opposite ends of a boot fastener member provided on the rear portion of the outer shell. The ski boot may, in lieu of having first and second members, have a single member which is suitably directed for extending across the toe and/or instep portion of the inner boot and being secured at its opposite ends to the boot fastener. There may also be guide elements fixed to various parts of the boot structure for directing the flexible member, or members as the case may be between their points of fixed securement for direction intersectingly over the front part of the foot of the inner boot.

A ski boot comprises a foot-encasing shell body having front and rear cuffs, each being pivotally engaged on opposite sides to the shell body for relative movement away from each other into boot-open position and toward each other into boot-closed position; there being an inner boot member. A boot tightening element is carried on the rear cuff with a pair of elongated cables extending forwardly along opposite sides of the boot from said element. Each cable in the forward portion thereof being operatively related to a pressing pad overlying the inner boot member in the portion thereof disposed upon the wearer's foot between the ankle and instep. A guide is carried on each side of the shell body for training thereabout of an intermediate portion of the related cable. Each guide is so located that when the boot is in closed position the cable will substantially coincide with a line interconnecting the guide and the proximate pivot pin of the rear cuff and when said boot is in open position the cable will be removed from such interconnecting line.

A ski boot which comprises a shell body having a sole and a lower shell, a pair of upper shell members engaged to said shell body on opposite sides thereof, and being in confronting relationship, said upper shell members being spaced apart at their front and rearward ends to define front and rear openings, front and rear cuffs presented between said upper shell members for disposition with respect to said front and rear openings respectively. Each of said front and rear cuffs are swingably engaged in the lower end portions thereof to the shell body for swingable movement longitudinally of the boot for providing an expanded opening for facilitating foot insertion into, and removal from, the boot. An inner boot contains a lower portion received within the shell and having separable upper portions engaged to the related cuffs for movement therewith.

A ski boot having a lower shell and upper outer and inner shells being spaced apart to define front and rear openings within which are tiltably mounted front and rear cuffs. A band is wound around the outer peripheries of said shells and cuffs; there being a device for tightening said band. There is a forward inclination angle adjusting mechanism for adjusting the angle of forward inclination of the skier's leg including means for adjusting the length of the portion of the band extending across the front cuff and being arranged for moving circumferentially. Said boot may also include a forward inclination pressure adjusting mechanism to adjust the pressure applied to the skier's leg by the boot when the skier moves forwardly. The boot of the present invention may contain either the forward inclination angle adjusting mechanism or the forward inclination pressure adjusting mechanism or both.
